P.I.P. timescales...

hi,
I have been reading a lot of peoples posts complaining about the DWP not receiving peoples applications for P.I.P. I haven't had any problems with this because I go to the jobcentre and ask them to send anything I want to send them through their internal post. They can scan onto their system which is a record that they have received it and they put it in an internal envelope - they have no come back when you contact this way. I also get a date stamped document with jobcentre plus signature on it and it saves postage. Hope this helps someone!0 -
The DWP want to charge people to appeal their decision, the report leaked to the guardian only mentioned people losing their benefit will be charged. I think this is more for the employment support allowance but makes you think what's around the corner for PIP applicants. Another case of keeping the poor poorer!!0

Has anybody received a letter from the DWP..... We've got the information and reports we need about your condition and how this affects you for your claim to personal independence payment..........
Is this a good sign, does it really mean I'll get a decision soon? Did you get this letter? How long until you found out about your award? This whole process is making me very anxious. I'm looking at a huge operation next week and the thought of being refused , or having to go through the appeals process makes me feel nauseous.
Thankyou.RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

Well 5 weeks since my assessment with ATOS and claim is still with the auditor. Keep getting told it is being worked on. Really starting to get anxious now money is so tight really struggling. More or less housebound as well now which is not helping. Keep ringing up every day and yesterday a lady called Louise took my number and said she will ring me as soon as there is any change. Won`t hold my breath waiting.0

Thankyou.
You can phone them if you want, but I got one of these letters a little while ago, and phone daily anyway. I've been about 7 months now since I applied, and still not had a decision.
My assessment was 18 March Redjan, a couple of days before yours, so, if it's working to plan, you should hear 2 days after me.0 -

I was really hoping you'd have had your decision. I did email my MP again when knowing my report was back at the DWP and asked him to make sure it didn't gather cobwebs, I think this made a difference. Hope to read good news from you soon.
I have requested a reconsideration on one issue and asked them to wait til I have received my assessment report and written in with my arguments/reasonings.0 -

I've requested the report already as I feel sure I'll be appealing!
If I hear nothing this week, I'm going to try my MP
Thanks for your best wishes...0 -

I received that letter in January, before an assessment was done on the 7th February0 -

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, I had my assesment on the 17th of January, paperwork was recieved by a couple of weeks ago, 11 weeks at audit. Rang them every week and emailed Brian pepper to try and prompt them to get their bloody fingers out.
I hope you don't have the same wait as I did, but probably best to prepare yourself for the worst.:(RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.
