  • Did anyone else get a call asking about their satisfaction with the assessment?

I didn't think to question it while on the phone but now I'm wondering who it could have been as they gave no company name.

Yes this is common with PIP, the reason is the role out period to bring over all DLA claimants, I had same call few weeks ago and my complaint was purely on the time it is taking to process claim decisions after assessment

Thanks. I was a bit paranoid about it honestly.
My issue was I have mental health issues and they gave me a physiotherapist.

I can't believe I'm pretty much the only original poster still on this thread but finally, back pay is in my account and mandatory reconsideration letter has arrived. At long bloody last.

Now if they could just put my IS10 and new sick note on the ESA system then they can make the payment I should have got today along with my back dated premiums! If it's not one thing it's another with the DWP.

Good luck with your appeal. I'm concerned about your comment that they didn't look at your doctors letter. Did they actually tell you this? I'm asking because I am waiting for a reconsideration decision and have sent in a doctors letter also. If it's possible they don't look at further evidence then I fail to see the point in the MR stage.

Hi, they did not tell me ... From the mr letter the reasons were exactly the same as the first decision ... Made no mention of my doctors letter which detailed all the questions that needed answering to validate my conditions and daily living help and mobility. They answered the same as my first decision ... Without the doctors letter .. I too fail to see the point if they do not take them into account on reconsideration and I sent it with plenty of time to them :(

    Hello

I applied on 26/11/13 for PIP and ATOS say they got my medical questionnaire from DWP on 02/01/14. The NHS are giving me a power wheelchair for indoor and outdoor use, so I'm pretty confident I should eventually get some PIP money!

I've now been told I'm on the waiting list for a home visit for my assessment. The lady was very nice but couldn't give me any idea on timescales at all - she just said there are people who've been waiting a lot longer than me, and its on a 'first come first served' basis.

I live in Cambridgeshire on the boarder with Hertfordshire. Does anyone have any idea how long the waiting time is for a home visit?

    Thanks
    Jenni

I applied in October and got my assessment in March (this was not a home visit). If you can possibly get to a centre with someone to take you it will be quicker. I know home visits take ages, because in a centre they do 3 to 4 a day. Home visits are around 2 to 3 a day because of the travelling etc
