Yes, I'll go to appeal too, I have to really, I'll lose my flat without a care award due to passporting. No-one can believe I was declined, not friends, doctors or even acquaintances! It has undoubtedly expedited some of my deterioration though which makes me even angrier.
I am sorry to hear that, it is so wrong that this is happening. I wish you all the best and hope you get the outcome you deserve.
The long drawn out process definitely makes our conditions worse.0 -
Hiya, I applied early November for PIP, I went for my assessment early February. It is finally in Audit from last week, but how long does this last please ? Also, when it finally gets to the decision maker what is the timescale for that ? And also, is PIP backdated or not please ? Thanks, Sharon
PIP is backedated to the date you requested the forms, as long as they're rteurned on time.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Hi
my forms were lost twice sp I exceeded the time limit but they agreed to backdate if I was awarded. I was also told not to use the envelope provided but to send it signed for.
I did this and when I called to check on delivery was told the form had not been received. Interestingly when I quoted the time and date of delivery and the name of the signee.... the form appeared on their system.
My advice always send it signed for!!!

Hi all ..
pip and atos are an absolute joke, claim was made end of sept, had atos medical feb 5th, atos sent forms to pip 25th feb ... so thought things were goin pretty quick.. been ringing them and said it was with decision maker untill today they said there was a query on the report and they had sent it back to atos on 11th march .. spoke to atos they sent it back on 12th march so i rung pip back who confirmed they had had it back ... the query was walking, i attended in a wheelchair was never as to move at all ... asked about walking stated could walk roughly 3 meters which is to bathroom ... all that is on the medical report but the assesor ticked that i can walk 20-50 meters what the hell!!! furious with this woman ... all pip said was that it was with desicion maker again and could take a futher 2 weeks so not looking good(

I was told by my local DWP office, that once the form is received from Atos , processing will take no more than three weeks. Having said that, unless Atos have done their job properly, and provided DWP with the correct relevant information, your papers are likely to be returned to Atos.
You've done well to have your claim in the audit process already, I'm over 9 weeks in and it hasn't even been transcribed and added to the system yet. How on Earth the contract was awarded to Atos without any kind of memorandum of understanding detailing timescales is quite beyond me. I think perhaps it's hoped we will all miraculously be cured before they have to pay out. If Atos have a cure for spinal cord injuries , I'd take that over a pip award any day of the week.:( I think at this rate, if I do receive an award, the backdated amount will be enough to purchase a small island in the sun!!!!:eek:RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

I'm 6 months now and not even had my assessment- though 2 have been cancelled so far... I've run out of savings almost now, so if it's not sorted quickly I'll be taking in lodgers...0

I contacted my MP.
He soon got things moving. I had an appointment for an assessment in days.
I reckon he knocked 6 months off my waiting.
Give it a go! Nothing to lose.:)0 -
Hi guys
Been browsing this thread with interest, my hubby got declined in November for pip, asked for MR and sent in extra evidence which they received on 3rd jan.
I've been ringing once a week and they can't tell me any details, just that they might have asked for extra supporting evidence from somewhere.
I ring on hubs behalf as he is possibly autistic and doesn't like speaking on the phone among other problems, and dwp accept this so have told me details in the past. They just don't seem to have any information to tell me, it's so frustrating!
My hubby got 6 points on daily activities and 4 on mobility.
His atos report was ok apart from saying he says he goes to the pub which he didn't as I was there at the assessment. There are a couple of other things we disagree with but can't remember what they are now.
Just thought I would share our journey so far0 -
