Started in October 15, had face to face assessment in March, asked for Mandatory Reconsideration, they sent the same assessment form again, wouldn't redo Mandatory Reconsideration, so still waiting for Tribunal at Court.0

My DLA runs out Feb 2017 so when can i expect to get the form for PIP?
Also if they are still dealing with my change to PIP when DLA ends in Feb will DLA still get paid till PIP is sorted?0 -
Having put this off for months due to personal circumstances having changed last September I've recently applied for the pip and it took a chase phone call for them to send the paperwork and it then took me a week to pluck up the courage to fill it in, which took me 3 days to complete, I then sent in, and got proof of postage to which I then received text to say they had received it and it is likely I will need to attend consultation with health professional, but I'm now wondering how long it will be before I hear anything more.
I was on DLA and I was told I had a month to get forms in and if not they would cancel my DLA, but I'm wondering if they will come back to me within that month also or will my DLA stop and I'm left waiting.
I dread all this when I know that I have a chronic condition but even my DLA I had to go to a tribunal for. When I rang them to request the paperwork I told them if it wasn't for the fact that I know I have an honest claim I would have put the phone down with all the condescending comments made in the phone call. It's been bad enough accepting my disability let alone being spoken to like a lowlife, I have found the system degrading so far and it worries me how much more they can drag me down.0 -

I have just returned my PIP form yesterday and sent it guaranteed delivery as it had to be in by 11 May. Had a text today to confirm receipt, so at least my DLA will now continue until they have decided on PIP, however long that will be? Does anybody have an idea on timescales for an assessment in North Yorkshire?
I don't expect to not have one, as that isn't my luck, I had to fight through 2 tribunals with DLA then eventually granted indefinite DLA...... Well indefinite for 20 months anyway until the letter for PIP!0 -
Simon7685 I am in North Yorkshire and was waiting from the middle of last year. From the time Atos got my forms to a home assessment it was over 3 months but I think maybe home assessments take longer to come through
I hope you have a positive assessment ❤️0 -

When I called to switch to PIP I was told my claim would end in 4 weeks of starting this claim?0 -

It will end only when you get your pip decision, well it's four weeks after the decision date, but as it's DLA to PIP you may end up without DLA for four weeks.0 -
Hi, I have a few questions re PIP time frames etc and would really appreciate people's experiences.
I transferred from DLA to PIP last year, completing the paperwork in March and was awarded enhanced rate mobility and standard rate care in July for two years after an assessment. In May this year (just 10 months on) I got the brown envelope through the door to be reassessed for PIP. TBH, I was a bit surprised but did some digging and it appears that DWP policy is to call you 12 months before your award expires (or in my case 14 months.)
Without going into the gory details, my disability is permanent and the prognosis is that I will deteriorate not improve - with no options for interventive treatment...but this is the DWP.
My question is: I have just mailed the forms back to them. There's no real new evidence as it is such a short time since my last assessment - though I have resent the copious copy letters, reports etc which I sent to them last year. We go away on holiday in a few weeks and I'm concerned that the assessment will be scheduled for while we are away. What are the current time frames from application form to assessment? We're in the Midlands area.
Given the short interval since my transfer to PIP and face to face assessment am I likely to be called for a medical? The last DLA application (renewal) they awarded on the basis of the information sent and didn't ask to see me but I imagine things have become more stringent not less. They do seem to have created an industry out of this.
Also, despite my comments above (trying to be pragmatic), the 10 month review time frame seems very silly in the context of my disability. Is this common? Are there longer awards with PIP than 2 years?
