Poppy is correct, its a chance you take. I read the report which simply did not reflect my assessment and what was said. At the end of the day I know what I can and cant do and thought it was so off the mark to award 7 points. I will take all the way to tribunal if need be.

Its hard but at the end of the day you know your condition and what help you need. I'd wait for the letter and if you find its not right what they are saying make your decision.
    Good luck

If I decide to go ahead with it, do I still get to keep any back dated money I've received already do you know?

I read on another site {yourable) they do not request any monies already paid to you back.

They would withhold payments initially until the MR is complete if they could claim it back.

Hi all Hubby had decision letter this morning amazingly after the tests I thought he did so well in he has been awarded 14 points in the care, mostly all the same as I had calculated but no points at all in the planning and following a journey and only 4 points for cooking food and he really cant do it at all, not that it matters as 14 points is more than enough and 12 points for mobility, so for him the higher rate for both!
This thankfully is the end of our journey for this now I cant begin to tell any one how much stress this has caused both of us I am sure its made him 100% worse than he was when he initially claimed and I get all the money worries so it really has affected both of us.

Our claim was One day short of a year from application to the letter today. only 10 days since the f2f assessment I wasn't expecting it to be that quick.
I wish every one here the best of luck in your claims and hopefully you will get the outcome you need. Thankfully we didn't have to appeal I cant imagine going through even more stress to still get what you are entitled to!

    !

This was mine and my husband's experience. If it's any help or consolation it does get easier. It took a little while to stop having the gnawing feeling of anxiety that we'd started to get used to living with. I've started to recognise how much better I'm doing than I was this time last year, I'm not cured but I'm managing to live with my condition more easily and I'm sure it's because the PIP claim has been completed. I hope you and your husband can experience the same improvements.

Hi all, I have just rung DWP about my MR and was told they have received a supplementary report from the assessor yesterday. Does anyone know what this is and why they have requested it. I am presuming they are checking the details of my MR letter?

    Thanks

  • Evening all! Another day, another question! I have been advised that a decision has been made but its not showing on the system as it's gone to be quality checked - has anyone else had experience of this? I assumed once a decision maker had made a decision that was the end!

I have no idea what this means because it's the first time i've ever heard of this happening. If it was me i'd ring again tomorrow and if no decision is showing you could ask what this means. Good luck.
