Hi, just an update, rang dwp and after them receiving everything from capita on the 9th October they told me today I am looking at middle of December for decision, ( was told when phoned previously that they had not RECIEVED the electronic copy they needed, so I phoned capita myself and was told that everything had been sent but they did send it again) when spoke to dwp again today was told they have not RECIEVED the electronic copy, phoned capita back but was told they could not send it again as they have sent it twice, seems such a mess! Just got to wait as I don't think I can do anything else, ( just need to know one way or the other regards to mobility car!) it just gets worse each time I phone, have been told so many different things from different people at dwp. It seems such a struggle for people that really need help. Good luck to everyone else...

    Hi Suz,
I just don't get this call centre at all. I know as do most of us do each time we ring different information is delivered. It certainly adds to the stress of this whole damn process. I for one would not take their timescale of mid December as true. By the differing info each call brings they obviously have no idea what so ever. What I would do is ring every single day and ask for an update. Eventually you will get someone who can be bothered and will access your files correctly and update that everything is in just waiting for decision. Eventually you will be told your file is with a case manager and then you will know a decision is immanent.

Alternatively if they continue to say your assessment is lost in the system get onto your MP. It's not fair to worry you and add extra stress on someone who is already unwell and struggling! Good luck and keep posting sharing a problem on here helps. I hope they sort you soon xxx

Yes, contact your MP! One of the hardest things I found was acting as the messenger between DWP and ATOS (capita in your case). I was getting nowhere fast, well slow cos you have to keep waiting to see if they do anything, find out that they haven't and start all over again! I explained how DWP and ATOS seemed unable to talk to each other and I was being asked by DWP to chase things up. my mp seemed to be able to get a response and things moving. It's not like you're just fed up waiting you're being told things that you're not able to check. This is the worst bit and they seem to be making it worse. Hope you're able to solve it soon.

Hi folks, long time since I've posted here, I was one of the original contributors to the thread!

I had a successful MR way back in March and my award is until October 2015. Well, this week I got the renewal pack or whatever it is they're calling it, a whole year before my award ends!

Just another example of how ridiculous and overwhelmed the system is. Do we all have crystal balls so I can see how I'm going to be a year from now? What a mess.

Yes it's a mess! I'd misread my award form and thought I was going to have to start all over again this October. Thankfully it's at least another year before it starts all over again!

I can't see how asking for info so far in advance is going to help anybody - not the claimants or the administrators. If they've not cleared the new claims backlog, still have to roll out DLA to pip transfers how does adding renewals to the pip heap so far in advance help anybody? I'm sure they're doing it to wear us all down.

    Morning all,

Just wondering if anyone can shed light on what I was told this morning when I called DWP for an update on my MR?

The lady said "your case is actually with a case manager now so it should not be too long". Am I right in thinking a decision is imminent? Just so stressed and nervous and fed up of waiting months for any movement. Would you ring tomorrow or just wait?

    thanks

I ran up DWP asking about my MR (original decision was end of July, initially applied November 2013). I was told it was taking them 10 weeks to do the MR, so it wouldn't be long with me now. I live in the North West. I'm ringing weekly at the moment to prompt them to hurry up... still not got anywhere yet!
