    Morning all,

Just wondering if anyone can shed light on what I was told this morning when I called DWP for an update on my MR?

The lady said "your case is actually with a case manager now so it should not be too long". Am I right in thinking a decision is imminent? Just so stressed and nervous and fed up of waiting months for any movement. Would you ring tomorrow or just wait?

    thanks

Yes once it's with a case manager then a decision could be anytime. If it was me i'd keep ringing. I'm very impatient lol. Good luck and please let us know the out come.

Hi folks, long time since I've posted here, I was one of the original contributors to the thread!

I had a successful MR way back in March and my award is until October 2015. Well, this week I got the renewal pack or whatever it is they're calling it, a whole year before my award ends!

Just another example of how ridiculous and overwhelmed the system is. Do we all have crystal balls so I can see how I'm going to be a year from now? What a mess.

Just very curious to know as you still have a year left on your present award, when do you have to send the renewal form back? ( I didn't realise you renewed a year before your award runs out) best of luck with it all!

Well I received my letter from consultant today that states I can only move my arms/shoulders 90degrees without someone having to force movement and causing further pain, hoping this will help,it also explains further things but the main fact is I cannot move my arms due to the pain in shoulders(my fibromyalgia )I will post 1st thing recorded as already sent my GP letter to them, they have not yet posted me my assessment letter I requested so called to chase this, they are very naughty and will do anything to get out of giving points xx

I didn't know it would be sent so soon either! As with all forms they ask you to fill in, I have a month from the date of the letter, which has in reality given me 2 weeks to get it sent back and of course to ensure it's received in time it's more like a week. Luckily I happen to have an appointment with my consultant tomorrow and have recent assessment and care plan letters so the time restriction isn't too bad.

Overall though, it shows what a shambles the whole thing still is.

That's ridiculous, 925. I know under DLA, they send (or did) out the forms months in advance. But you had a lot more time to fill them in.

I would start writing you MR immediately and see what other evidence you can supply and send off by recorded delivery.
I know on here earlier someone was saying about genuine claims versus those who try it on and I totally get it.

Hi Nanna55, thank you for your advice I really appreciate it and I hope you get the decision you want with your MR.

I have an appointment with my consultant for my main condition (endometriosis) on the 19th November, is it worth waiting for that appointment to get a letter written by him before I send off the paperwork for MR? Or can I send in bits of information up until the deadline which is the 24th November?

Also will they continue to pay what they've awarded me (standard rate living) whilst I wait for MR decision to come back? I got payed the back-payment today but hesitant to spend from it in the event of them demanding it back if MR says I'm not entitled to it at all!

Sorry I don't know much about this MR process never heard of it until I saw it on this forum.

It's standard procedure to contact you a whole year before your award ends. Crazy yeah i know. I got awarded to August 2017 and one of the things it said on my write up from DM was because my condition is very highly likely to get worse then i was only awarded to 2017 and they'll contact me on August 2016. So yeah a whole year. The backlog really is that bad.

    Hi Lilo,

They continue to pay your award throughout the MR process. I would send in whatever information you have and continue to send the rest as and when you get it, I always rang about 4/5 days to check they had received my documents and they were uploaded on their system. You need to lodge your request for MR within 28 days then tell them you have more documents to come. when they are complete let them know. You should get a call but don't bank on the quoted 5 days, you should take the opportunity to discuss with them what evidence you will be sending and approximate timescales.

As for the money spend it, its yours and you have waited long enough!
