Mine also went really well and i too had read some terrible stories. Was happy with the report too when i read it. She'd put down exactly what i told her. To be honest i'm not prepared to wait any longer than 4 weeks. After that i'll be emailing my MP again. Goodluck with yours Shisha and please let us know the out come :)

. Yeeeeeees. I got it. I phoned tonight just before five and was told decision made on Friday enhanced for both. I still can't take it in. She said it was for an unspecified period .....don't know what that means Feel like big weight has been lifted. Hope everyone else waiting hears soon and it's favourable to you.

Hi poppy. Just phoned them again to clarify unspecifed They said they may or may not look at me again in 2024. Still not used to the idea that finally this is over and with the best possible outcome. Hope you get yours soon.

    Hi Shisha,

That's such great news! wow you must be so happy right now? You got your decision really quickly too so i'm going to ring them about 4.30 today to see if a decision has been made on mine. Very stressful!

I didn't think they did those type of awards for PIP.

    Anyway:
I'm on an indefinite DLA award. (which is what it sounds like you're on) I can be assessed at any time. But, unlike someone with a fixed award, (ie, awarded DLA for 2 years) there's no specific date I will be assessed on.

When you get your award letter, you should be given more information.

Hi that's what I thought also as I have never seen anyone else saying this. I don't know when I will get the letter, they seem to take a while.

Well i rang not long ago asking if a decision has been made. I was told that a letter is on it's way to me telling me that they have all the info they need but they just have to contact my assessment provider to clarify something in the report. When i asked what it was she said she couldn't tell me because it's classed as personal info. She also said that this process is always very quick. So annoying this endless waiting.

Hi all, in process of Mandatory Reconsideration on behalf of my daughter and cant seem to find any recounts of anyone who has gone through it for PIP. Does anyone know of anyone who has, how long it took and if they were successful. I was told by someone recently that is is nigh impossible to get a decision overturned so you can imagine I felt a bit hopeless. Anyone know anything for sure. Can only seem to find recounts from JSA sanctions and ESA declines not declined PIP claims. Anyone know anything?

Rang Atos this morning to ask if the info has been sent back and i was told they haven't received anything from dwp stating there's a problem. As far as they're concerned my case with them is now closed. So i rang dwp again and asked about a decision. I was told it's with a case manager awaiting a decision and it could take up to 8 weeks. She said it didn't say anything on my notes saying there's a problem or that a letter has been sent to me on 18th August. Grrr so angry right now. I've already sent an email again to my MP asking for further help with this. 40 weeks ago i first applied for pip. It's outragous!!
