P.I.P. timescales...

My f2f was 11th June too. When I rang them on Tuesday this week, they said I had gone over the expected timescales so they would escalate it or something. I rang up yesterday and got my result. I'm still in shock! Maybe try ringing them and pointing out how long it's been - that's all I did. Good luck0

I GOT IT!!!!!! I just rang them expecting the usual 'nothing's showing yet..'
Standard for both until 2017. I honestly cannot believe it. I had to fight to get LRC for DLA so I really didn't hold out much hope at all.
I get a small amount of IR ESA at present, I think the PIP award may mean I'm entitled to a disability premium?
This may now mean that I can finish my Masters!!!!!
Congratulations! Do you live alone and will anyone claim carers allowance for you? Children are ignored when it comes to being classed as living alone.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Thanks, I'm still in shock!
Yes, I live alone (well, with a three year old monster!) and no one claims carers for me. I think I can get my tax disc for my car at a reduced price too. And I should be able to renew my BB without any problems. I keep staring at the list of passported benefits and I don't know where to start! First things first, I need the award notice.0 -
Hi, i sent my PIP forms back to DWP on 18th March and hadn't heard anything at all until i rang them last week - i didn't even get any confirmation that they had received my forms back or passed them to ATOS! Well, i rang DWP last week and they told me to ring ATOS because it was over the 16 weeks waiting time they would expect, so i rang ATOS and was told that yes they had my forms and received them on 20th March and that i was in the system...
Yesterday i received a letter from ATOS saying that they were contacting the professionals i had named on my form as being involved in my care and then today i received a letter giving me an assessment date for 26th August!!
i think that just goes to show that if you call them to complain and tell them you are still waiting after 5 months, they might try and do something about it where possible - i don't think that this was pure coincidence somehow :rotfl:
i'll keep you posted as to how long the decision takes to come back from DWP after my assessment as there seems to be an awful lot of waiting around in the dark for too many folk...0 -

Someone did post a link with entitlements if you receive PIP. Shall look later for it.

Well I am hoping this does not upset anyone as it seems that most people have had terribly long waits & I would like to give a bit of hope some who may of recently claimed.
I called to make my application on the 18th March 2014 & I then had my F2F on the 21st July.
I was assessed by Capita , so this may be useful to know for those who are waiting on a appointment - if you call on a Monday morning , this is when they get all their appointments in for their assessments & I don't think I would of got one when I did if I sat waiting for them to arrange one, so if you are with Capita I really do advise giving them a call on a Monday morning.
So after having my F2F in the morning I was told it was audited the same day & sent to DWP by 6pm.
I was told by the DWP it would take 2-3 weeks for the decision to be made but this was actually 5 weeks.
I was very lucky in all as my total time of waiting from making the initial phone call was 19 weeks, so hopefully this may give somebody a little hope at least that there is always a chance it may go through quicker & I am so sorry to see the stress that most people on here have been put through as I have followed these threads since March.0 -
I started my pip claim at the beginning of Dec 2013. I rang DWP at end of March only to be told that i'd failed to turn up to a f2f assessment on 17th March. Well obviously i didn't receive an appointment to attend one, that's why i didn't attend. Dwp the returned my info to Atos and up until end of July was constantly being told that because of the missed appt i would have to go through the whole system again. Fed up of the waiting and through no fault of my own i decided to contact my local mp (David Cameron) less than 24 hours later i had a reply saying they were in the process of talking to Atos and they'd be intouch when they had more info. 2 days after that i had another email telling me that i have an appointment for f2f on 4th August. Middle of last week i had my assessment report back. Reading through it i was given 9 points for daily living and 10 points for mobility. Rang dwp on Friday and was told no decision has been made yet and they only received the report back on 6th August. So hopefully i'm almost at the end of this very long journey and i will have a decision soon! Does anyone know if they always go by the points awarded? or just ignore the points and look at the evidence instead? This waiting has caused me so much stress it's unreal. I just want it to end now.0

Hi poppy12345. I have no idea they way things are done but you would think the assessment report must be taken into consideration otherwise why even bother with getting it done. Like you I am waiting for a decision and I know what you say about stress......it's on your mind most of the time.hope you get your decision soon.0

Hi Shisha, thanks for your reply. Yes i thought the same too. When did you have your f2f assessment, if you don't mind me asking? Hope you get a decision soon too!0

I had it on July 18th. I thought it went really well unlike some of the horror stories about it that I had read, but now I believe that what I thought doesn't really count it what she has written that counts. From today I will be phoning the DWP every afternoon until I get the decision. Good or bad. I, like you, just want this finished.0
