Had my f2f in Manchester today and was quoted 4-6 weeks for a decision.
At least I'm one step nearer, after my initial application went in on 27 September.

    Hi all,

    I'm new to this site,

    My PIP TRIP,

It started back on sept 2013 got the paper work sent back by the end of sept, at first i did not think on phoning ATOS but as time was getting on i was getting sick of waiting so i phoned ATOS up around june and got told they did not have a date, then i phoned them up at the end of june and ATOS said they had a cancellation and she asked me if i wanted it, she said it was in E london, i said yes i will take it, The assessment was for the 18th of Jul, That's 291 days or 41 weeks i had to wait for the assessment,

The layd that done the assessment use to be an ( Occupational therapist! )

Had the assessment, i have to say it went well,

I got a letter today saying the assessment report is done and its being audited, ( that was fast!) see letter below vvvvvv

so back to the waiting game, as its now in the hands of the PIP GODS

    Thanks

    Hi all,

I got a letter from ATOS today?

I would like to know if this is a standard letter or not as this is the first time putting in for PIP I will put it up word for word on here.

    Dear ******

Thank you for attending your recent consultation with one of our health professionals.
They have now completed their report.

We wanted to let you know what will happen next.

As part of the assessment process we are required to audit a high proportion of reports in order to ensure consistency and accuracy. your report is one of the reports that have been selected for audit and
    quality checking.
This is a vital part of the assessment process. The time taken to perform a quality check can very with
the complexity of the case, but it often takes only a few days and will not affect the final decision making
    process undertaken be DWP.

We appreciate that you may have been waiting for some time for your assessment but would like to
assure you that we are progressing as quickly as possible.

We will write to you again when we have finished checking the assessment report to inform you when
the report has been passed to DWP. Thank you for your patience whilst we complete this important step.

    hello everyone

i was bored so thought i would give the PIP helpline a call.

anyway i was totally shocked to learn a decision was made 2 days ago. I asked the lady to open the letter and I have been awarded enhanced rate for care.

i know money doesnt change our conditions but it can enhance our lives in so many ways.

thanks to everyone on this thread for posting updates, it has helped me in my long wait.

good luck to everyone still waiting

i am in tyne and wear and the decision was made less than 2 weeks after they received my f2f report.
they must be working overtime :)

Really pleased to hear your news Sunflower - they must be working overtime up here!

Marcus6: I had the exact same letter so, yes, it is a standard one. I had another letter 6 days later to tell me that my file had been sent to DWP. It then only took 2 weeks for me to get my decision. So fingers x'd that you don't have to wait too much longer. Good luck.

pd & Caz - that's just terrible! I'm not sure they realise the impact that their statements have on people. Is it because their systems are in such a mess that they come out with gobbledigook just to get people off the phones, or do they have standard nonsensical scripts to read off? I just don't know.

My f2f was on 11th June...I daren't even ring up as I'm quite sure it'll just put the wind up me. I've tried to be really laid back about it all, but I really need to know now as I need to get some financial figures into Uni due to a funding !!!! up...that's a whole other nightmare! xx

So I bit the bullet and called. According to them they didn't get the report until 2/7/14 and a decision should be made within 3 weeks of them receiving it...which would be today! He's said to ring if I've not heard by next Friday....oh, ok then...

I'm on the phone to them now. I'm asking what's going on with my MR and my complaint- I've not even had any form of acknowledgement  I know they've got it as they sent my repeat prescription list back to me by recorded post middle of last week so I want to know what happens next. In a queue- typical :(
