After approx 44 weeks my claim is classed as in progress which means dm is looking at it as I speak. He said I should know my outcome today if not mon/tue. I am in shock but also very nervous as we all know its a big thing could help a lot with life
Ill put my outcome of today on later it's probably a diff story tonight but fingers crossed its not xx
Hi Caza, I hope you get awarded it.I just phoned them as i have not got my assesment report yet and no call from CM.Now i'm confused cos she said have you asked for reconsideration and she will put one through and get CM to phone me and she will let me know where to send further evidence. Think i'm being stalled lol.0 -
OH tells me that I have a recorded letter from the DWP. (I'm at my Mum's at the moment to give OH a break.) I think it's just them returning my evidence. I sent them a recorded letter on Monday with a letter of complaint, a 6-page letter requesting MR and my reasons for doing so and also four lots of medical evidence. I haven't spoken to the CM yet but I've already said to the DWP that I'm not interested in hearing why they turned me down as the assessment was so badly wrong and Capita have failed to forward them any relevant information or even contact the correct people. I requested they call me next week as there is no mobile signal at my Mum's so I was allowed to put the MR in as my letter was dated 1 July and I won't be called until after the 22nd.
(Sorry if this seems a bit chaotic I'm not well at the minute)

Thanks you Kitkat and Geordie girl I rang back 5.55pm and still no decision and the woman said we can't tell When the cm is looking at reports argh but she did say a letter is on the way stating there happy with the amount of evidence they have (which am not sure is a good thing or bad they've not asked my doc or hospital for letters but I took a few hospital ones showing I have a tumour that's causing problems not cancerous and damage through surgery plus ESA had all the info not sure if that counts ) can anyone clarify if getting ESA helps please. It's just got my head demented I feel sorry for anyone going through this.
Geordie girl I heard they do a 30 day reconsideration that's where most get turned over you want to look into it I believe you fight for what's right you get there esp when it's health I really hope you fight it you will win why should you give up on something your entitled too
Thanks kit Kay and Geordie girl will keep you's updated I do believe mines coming to a end whether its positive or negative who knows x0 -
I am helping my daughter who lives at home claim PIP and it is now 51 weeks from initial claim. Ftf on 16/6, report back to DWP on 26/6. So that makes 3 and a half weeks from DWP having hard copy. I ring most days to see if decision made yet as I feel like we are living in limbo. Tbh even though my daughters mental health is severe and impacts massively on her functioning, I have got myself convinced it will be turned down at least once as it seems to be so hard to get mental health claims through. Having said that, if she is awarded, the backpay would be a decent lump sum. We intend to get her some specialist help with her problems and the award would help fund that. She is desperate for specialist help and although some of the mental health workers locally try hard, they are grossly understaffed and literally cant cope with demand. This leaves us in limbo, not knowing if we are going to be able to fund her care. She wants the money to go towards help but each day is spent wondering when the decision is going to be made. I feel like life for us all cant move on and am getting to the point where I just want to know either way. Having spoken to DWP this morning I just got the same response, "No decision yet, should be soon". They are always very nice about it but the claim process is taking over our lives. Sorry to vent but I am just so frustrated:(0

Some people have mentioned getting their MP involved. This appears to have helped.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I have done that already about a month ago but all that happened was the MP sent a copy of my email to the DWP with a covering letter saying "this family appear to be experiencing hardship due to the excessive delays. Please respond direct to my constituent addressing her concerns"
I guess a lot of MPs are being approached nowadays with PIP claim concerns and ours certainly seems to have a cover all approach to their help. So no further ahead:(0 -
Well I am still no further forward I got a call today from dwp and I missed it gutted (I can't always get to the fne ) my message said will call back this afternoon didn't get one I rang back and the lady said its to tell you your forms in a pile waiting to be finalised rang back again to say no ones rang back the guy says its probably because the screens changed your claim will have been done just its not on our system for us to see yet. I rang back again and the lady just said your in your final stages. Has anyone had all this before ? Bare I. Mine I was told end of last week when I rang that cm had my file open. Oh I also received a letter fri saying it was with cm they had all they needed and apologised for delay. It's approx 45 weeks. I do feel like its about to be decided but not sure if I am being fobbed off so just wanted to see if anyone else had any of this0

I called yesterday for an up date and was told 'looks like the decision maker has sent a request to DLA to find out when you were last paid' I asked what this meant and he said he couldnt see a decision on the system yet to show the rates (because they have to wait for the letter to be produced) but it usually means a positive outcome as it means they will be putting PIP in payment. He told me to call back today for an update.
Called today only to be told by someone else they couldnt see anything on the system to this effect. So basically I was just lied to not happy , its made feel feel worse . Has this happened to anyone else?0 -

They've done it to me it's so upsetting they told me last week my decision was going to be made that day then to find out that he wouldn't know that and obv it wasn't however the last two days I am being told its about to be made. A guy told me today why mine was delayed as they asked for more info as the f2f needed to get more points and they received all my extra info I actually know its not true as the info he had and explained was just my hospital letters I took with me on the day they just make things up and the guy today who was telling me that it shouldn't be allowed to give ppl false info then said mine will be done this week. x0 -
pd & Caz - that's just terrible! I'm not sure they realise the impact that their statements have on people. Is it because their systems are in such a mess that they come out with gobbledigook just to get people off the phones, or do they have standard nonsensical scripts to read off? I just don't know.
My f2f was on 11th June...I daren't even ring up as I'm quite sure it'll just put the wind up me. I've tried to be really laid back about it all, but I really need to know now as I need to get some financial figures into Uni due to a funding !!!! up...that's a whole other nightmare! xx0
