Assuming this "call" even happened, I'm not surprised he wouldn't put you through with an attitude like that. I'd have hung up on you.

I dont see what is wrong with this and perhaps if you had waited as long as some of us you wouldnt too. Everyone has a patience limit and it wasnt abusive in anyway. I actually think it was quite controlled.

Thank you kken2303; I appreciate your supporting comment, you will note I didn't wish to dignify it with a comment so I didn't!!
Like MOST people who have endured the PIP process I am so worn out and even more ill than I was in Oct when I first submitted my claim.

I've actually been waiting since july 2013 for my decision and when I ring, instead of having an attitude, I am polite and speak to the person without trying to be clever. I don't seem to have a problem getting put through to speak to a CM dealing with my claim... wonder why that is...

edit to clarify: by put through I mean a call back within a few hours by a CM.

Unlike those of us who have been waiting since July?.... I could write a book with the total farce the DWP and Atos have made of my claim thus far.

So you are worn out by the process, so that's ok to give the frontline staff a hard time.

I to (or rather my daughter) have been waiting since July and tbh, you are one of the lucky few who get called back because I certainly dont when I ring either and am totally worn out by the process aswell. I just dont think the conversation was that bad and certainly controlled. Whenever I ring, I always try to be polite but with a few exceptions, am often met with a clearly scripted answer and false promises so I think they probably understand that people will be frustrated and voice their frustrations. However, at the end of the day dont you think we should all be supporting each other. The whole process is horrendous enough without the added bickering. I just hope we all come out the other side of this with the desired outcome and without being made more poorly dealing with the claims. :)

Well said! I have just discovered the forum a few days ago and I find it helpful and supportive to share issues and experiences I've endured through the PIP process, it's nice to know you are not alone!!:D

The conversation was controlled but it was still rude, trying to goad the call centre person into doing something that they quite clearly said they were unable to do but we aren't going to agree on this point so I'm happy to let it end :)

Even though we may have have a difference of opinion, I do hope you both get a speedy positive decision because I do know that the waiting is frustrating as hell.

Surprise surprise. Still no decision! DWP staff getting fed up I think. I haven't called in nearly two weeks but they said 'you can call as often as you want but it won't speed things up!' Charming. I also asked what the date of my original claim was. Turns out it was early Dec last year and not early Jan this year as I had thought making it thirty weeks not the 24 I thought  email sent to MP minute I hung up the phone. OH reckons MP is worse than useless so we shall see..

I came across this forum after searching for a guide on the PIP time scales.
I have read through all the comments on how long people have been waiting & now beginning to worry.

I first applied in March 2014 for PIP so not long ago when I look at how long people have been waiting & I have add my home assessment with Capita last week (14 weeks).

After reading comments on the wait for the decision from the DWP I decided to call them this morning to ask them the time scale from my F2F to the DWP making a decision. The telephone call went as everybody described (from a script) but I was told the wait is 3 weeks from them receiving my report from Capita. I then went on to ask if there was a criteria that Capita had to meet when sending in their assessments to which she replied no & that all reports had to be audited by them, so I asked how long it could take to be audited and when I asked could this take upto a year she replied yes! I then said I will call Capita to discuss the matter with them as I was getting nowhere with her & she was quite rude telling me I was not to call them & I had to wait for a reply.

After my telephone call with the DWP I called Capita who were extremely helpful & told me that my assessment was audited the same day and couriered over by 6.15pm the same day as my appointment but it may take 10 days to show on the DWP system.

So after my original call with the DWP , I should only be waiting 3 weeks according to them for a decision.

I would like to know if anybody else had the appointment through , audited quickly as my own report but then met a huge delay at the decision making or is it looking like I might be lucky?

I will say that I am pregnant and that I have recently had a biopsy for Cancer which came back inconclusive , so no straight answer yet but being closely monitored , so maybe this is being done a little quicker to avoid me to much stress or is this unlikely & I am just lucky with my wait?

when the ten days are up call DWP to confirm that the report is on their system., Capita told me originally mine had been sent but it turned out it hadn't I had to go through the CEO of Capita in the end, not wanting to panic you or anything but check after the ten days to make sure what they have told you is correct
