Well so much for all that I said yesterday now I'm just confused dot com!! Got an e-mail from my MP earlier telling me he got a response from DWP and he has quoted this in the e-mail from them...
The report from the Assessment Provider, Atos, was received on 02/06/14 and assigned to a Case Manager on 02/06/14. The Case Manager required further information from Atos and this has been requested from Atos on 11/06/14. The Quality Assurance Manager has contacted Atos, due to the urgency, and the supplementary report should be available by the end of this week.
I rang DWP again today explained how my MP was given the info above but yesterday I was given different info so now I'm on the phone again because I want to clarify which is the correct info. She told me that they have got the supplementary report back from Atos and that they got it back on the 24th and now the supplementary report is with the QA. LOL, if I don't laugh I will cry and then fall apart, I need to stay strong! So then I asked how long now until a decision is made and she said upto three weeks! So yesterday I was told any day now but now shes saying another three weeks. I'm calling them tomorrow again and I am just gonna tell them I will be ringing every day until they make a decision.

If I were you I would put it in writing to ask for an MR because you so much time has passed since you completed that form and you didn't have a F2F, what have you got to lose. They can't just say no they're not doing an MR, I know it's more hassle but these people making these decisions need to wake up and smell the coffee and realise they are not God and we need to fight for what we are entitled to.

Thank you million times for your advice. TBH I believe they should have received enhanced rate for mobility as I have osteoarthritis in both knees, my right knee is permanently deformed (valgus deformity - goes outwords) and my right leg is 8 cm shorter than left. Without special shoes and a crutch I cannot walk even few steps without pain and discomfort. It's a shame that I cannot score 2 more points to get the higher rate.
Can I ask my GP to write me a letter and if I ask for MR would they still consider it as in-time evidence?
I'm just worried what if they take away what they've awarded.

:money: Doubling of debt equals ’stabilising this financial problem’. This new definition is very handy. Blood pressure doubled in 12 months? Don’t bother treating it, it’s stable! Tumour size doubled? Don’t worry about that cancelled op, your tumour’s stable! Think of the savings that can be made!:money:

Alison, you must ask for this hun especially that your condition is also very visible and you wear specially designed shoes and use a walking aid too. Do it tomorrow and then get the letter from the GP, you can tell them you are waiting for the letter and it will follow shortly, ask for an e-mail address to send it electronically but if you have to post it, send it recorded or special delivery. Ask yourself these questions.. do you think you should have genuinely got the mobility enhanced rate? If so why? Do you believe if you got the enhanced rate and you drive, would getting on the mobility scheme enhance the quality of your every day life? If so why? If you don't drive, how would the enhanced rate help to enhance the quality of your every day life? Write your answers all down and when you've done this, these are the reasons you need to tell DWP why you are requesting an MR!!!!

Have a look at this fact sheet, it is very explanitory and it is very unlikely they will take away the award. Good luck sweetie whatever you decide to do.

They will look at the whole award. But this doesn't mean they'll take it away.

Can I be really ignorant and ask what the Gold stars are all about? Should I be giving people stars and stuff. I'm just a newbie here and don't know what the star thing is but I notice I have one and don't want to go on and not thanking someone for it if that's how it all works. LoL

Sorry to hear about your payment. It's a disgrace.Just when you think you have come out of a nightmare, the second sequel starts.

Never mind the sequel I feel it's a three series horror box set!

Decided this morning I didn't want to wait any more for my money and would ask for a same day payment. As usual, call handler couldn't put me through to anybody but said they could mark it as a complaint and flag up a three hour call back. After waiting over three hours No call so I called back. Seems no such thing as a three hour call back and no way call centre staff can do anything but note what you say and mark it for somebody else, somewhere else in the country to call you back. As I'd been misinformed I was put through to a manager. Reading between the lines it's as bad for them as it is for us. But that still doesn't get what's mine in the bank, or any information as to why it's not there yet or when it might be.

From what the manager says suspension was because arrears are now more than they can pay me but system isn't set up to tell me this so automatic payment letter goes out and the money goes nowhere, despite what it says in the letter. More DWP IT problems? So because of the delays, which weren't my fault, the high award which is due because of my condition, another thing that's not my fault, I can't get what's mine and the nightmare rumbles on.

So, reluctantly, have emailed MP to see if they can have any influence over payment or at least find out when payment will be due.

Can't wait to post the conclusion and give hope to others that the nightmare does end, almost, happily ever after. Susie
