Wow! finished already? Fast work nonnie! but I will look forward to receiving it. Thank you nonnie!

only short glimpses of the sun today, and it wasn't as warm as it has been even when sun is out - Barnes is not too happy - he keeps looking accusingly at me. He probably thinks I am not switching it on!

he is still 'pouncing' on my wool, I am going to have to wash the little garments when I have finished them. The matinee coat is done and so is the bonnet and one mitten! Need to go through my button stash and find the right buttons now - only need 3 - 5 so there is every chance I will have suitable ones.

Barnes has been wandering round looking for OH this evening - OH has gone to a workmates retirement 'do'. its so rare for him to be out of an evening the cat is wondering where he is. lol, I bet OH gets a right yowling at when he comes in! Barnes seemed to think OH was playing hide and seek and he was upstairs looking for him, then came downstairs, but did he really think OH would be in the coat cupboard?
still he seems to have settled down now - I piled his cushions up for him the way OH does and he is sleeping..............awwwww!

Looked at 2nd class and it was £8 but luckily hubby has said that he will post it from his work for me on Monday and it's only £4 for parcelforce 24 so you should get it on Tuesday.

lol about the cushions, it's funny how cats like routine especially my fat sam who absolutely must lie across the bottom of my side of the bed every night and I am forced to sleep in the foetal position! He dared once to sleep on DH side and when he turned over in the middle of the night fat sam was actually catapulted through the air...oops! In fairness to Dh he was fast asleep and is 6ft 2 so takes up most of the bed, anyway sam is now firmly on my side only :D
  • Atrix - your cats are seriously lovely! Even if you didn't intend to have an extra two :D

Barnes does have you well trained, even if Mr Meri is hiding and not around to watch TV with him!

Nonnie - that is absolutely brilliant - thanks!
    will send you payment ASAP!

oldestgnome - Atrix cant help acquiring cats - he is like the pied piper of the cat world! Cats adore him!!!!!!!! lmao - he gets cats following him home!
We both used to work for the same canvassing company - and our boss thought it was hysterical that on arriving back at 'base' (his car), Atrix would have a few cats following him, and I would have a couple of dogs! I just think they know a sucker when they see one!

Cats usually like me too btw! except for Miley - that cat has nothing but contempt for me.

Barnes loves me though - except when he thinks I haven't turned off the rain and switched the sun on! raining this morning, and Barnes wanted out - but wanted it to stop raining - so he sort of got half out the door, reversed back, yowled at me, got halfway out again, reversed back, yowled louder and .......................I gave up and shut the door! He had to wait a couple of hours, but thankfully the sun did come out and Barnes went out, and came back in again in two minutes! Too wet underpaw? cold? breezy? whatever he waited until after lunch then found his 'hot spot' and had a nice sunbathe.
I bought some Thomas Cat Treats as they are a lot bigger than dreamies and Barnes enjoyed catching them! The grandgirls are having their sleepover so they have had fun 'chuckingtreats' for Barnables to catch.

Gotta take the girls to bed now.

well, Barnes spent the night with the 'grandgirls' as usual. I peeked in when I went to bed and he was between them with his head on the pillow, and front legs over C and back legs over K! dunno what he would have done if G had stayed over too! lol, he just looked at me and catsmiled. he knew I would leave him there.

of course they had to play 'chuckthetreat' today, and he played with real enthusiasm today! they groomed him and he sat there purring away! so obviously enjoying it. nothing like the cat who struggled to get away from the grooming comb a year ago!

its been rather cold today - Barnes hasn't spent much time outside - except when his 'ladylove' was up in the bedroom window - he sat out there making 'cow eyes' at her for nearly half an hour. rofl, honestly - he just looks so ridiculous!

Atrix - the cakes the girls made today were gorgeous - everyone commented how light and moist the sponge was, and how lovely the buttercream! and they decorated them beautifully too! hope you enjoy the ones they took home!
Its supposed to be rainy and windy later - but right now the skies are clear and its COLD! I had to put socks on tonight, my toes were frozen! and I need new slippers too.
Barnes is watching TV with OH in his usual place (when the girls have a sleepover they claim both settees). Peace reigns in the Meri house now.

rain this morning so a rather grumpy Barnes cat-napped until the sun came out. He ventured out and picked his way over the wet decking, and found a dry spot. From where he could gaze longingly at his 'ladylove'. I must find out her name for him --Ive only ever heard himnextdoor call her 'You'! as in 'Get in, You', or 'Time for your grub, You'. Perhaps she is called 'You'?
argggh he came in with a flea clinging to his ear! despite me grabbing the flea comb and subjecting Barnes to 'G without T', I couldn't find it! Even during his G&T later, I still couldn't get the bu99er! but it must have had diarrhoea - loads of flea dirt!
weather has now turned a lot colder - positively chilly! barnes was sat in the sun and I could see his coat rippling in the breeze. Just wondering now - what's he going to be like if it rains for days on end? that's not unusual here in South Wales - one thing we do well is RAIN!

Coco got out earlier, did his usual run out the front door run rounf the side and sit at back door, he was literally only out for approx. 4-5 mins, he had 3 fleas attached to chin area, he must have stuck his head in a pile of grass to sniff on way round back, I quick grabbed 2 in one go but the third run into his thick coat, tried all I could I couldn't find the begger, as the weather turns I think fleas are surfacing from the deeper rout of the grass for more heat of the sun and latch onto anything with a heat signature ( I swear their heat seeking missile bloodsucking eFFa's) he literally wasn't that long outside, anyway I kind of getting to the last resort of do I bath my lot in tea tree oil.

you noted a few posts back about how barney's breath smelt of a fishy like odor... have a read of the ingredients in his food stuffs for omega oils (fish oils), this may explain his smelly poo, if you do find omega3 in his diet, perhaps finding a replacement food that replaces omega3 with flaxoil or linseed oil but ask vet first for their recommendation.

Nonnie, the baby moon arrived about half hour ago! I am absolutely delighted with it! Its twice the size I thought it would be! Honestly peeps, its about 12 inches tall! Beautifully painted nonnie, Thank you so much. and for the lifetime supply of bubble wrap that came with it.lol. there is a faint whiff of the lacquer, but I will leave it out overnight and that should sort it. my husband was impressed too, he thought it a lovely thing. Thank you again. Will send you the payment tomorrow when I go out.
