tonight - well tonight I am feeling upset and angry - but its nothing to do with Barney! its me. and circumstances. and my family! Barney is his usual lovely self - though I did just overhear OH complaining that Barnes claws are too long - as Barnes sits in his lap! grrrrrrr!

Like all cats Barnes has telepathy and he will leave you alone, but be watching over youl

Is barney receptive to nail trimming? I do it with mine, otherwise his gets too long, and he velcros himself to things like scratching posts and carpets! And to be honest it's more comfortable when he's on me and kneading.

No Lifeforms - he hates manicures! or should that be caticures? He is far too polite to resort to hissing and spitting, but oh, 'THE GLARE' is employed and I find myself apologising as I cut each claw!

I have spent most of today on computer - Barnes had a nice long Groom and Treats session, but apart from that, I have been busy busy busy!

He is having a one-sided conversation with OH right now - Barnes is 'squeeking' to OH and getting no response! He too, is distracted right now. now he would be swiping me 'upside the head', but he has never done that to OH!
Awwwwwww - those 'squeeks' are starting to sound very 'pathetic'. and getting quieter and further apart - I think Barnes is giving up on OH.

Barnes definitely needs 'worming', his coat is not right! so worming tabs at least three weeks early!
and he needs a 'caticure' - but, I need to get a better nail clipper - the last time it didn't cut cleanly.

debating whether to get him 'da bird'. he does like to play - but on HIS terms! and they tend to be catching and chasing games! opinions please!

Mine loves his da bird, the actual two piece set, not the mouse catcher, however he prefers the mouse attachment over the feathers. Iirc the mouse is bristly, moose hair neutrally collected I believe. Goes nuts over it, but only if you're vigorous with the wand!

TY lifeforms - its under serious consideration.

Grandgirls came down for lunch - so Barney got a lovely long groom and treats session. TWO of them! as poor K has shingles and she was catching up on her sleep for one of them! so she was allowed to groom Barnes AGAIN! wont hurt just this once!

Barnes actually went and sat on OHs lap tonight right in front of me!- and cat-smiled at me while doing so! Cheeky sod! OH is complaining that Barnes claws are too long - I MUST get new nail clippers!

    Debt-free and Proud!
My Scrappy is heading back to Grandma's for another extended sleepover. His overgrooming has flared back up (or maybe it's just more obvious...) he won't go out at all (I think because he's scared of running into that bully tomcat who I have seen round and about this week) and when he's not overgrooming, he's curled up with us...even at bedtime!
He'll get more attention at mum's and I think it will keep mum and the dog occupied now that Dad's died.

His missus - I am so sorry about your dad. He sounded lovely from the snippets you have posted about him. Please accept my sincere condolences. I lost my dad nearly twenty years ago - and it's something that you cant 'get over' but learn to live with.

good idea to help mum through this horrible time. it will distract her at least.
