its ok to PM me with Questions Nonnie - I am NOT a medium btw! I attend church when I feel the need. But, although brought up Presbyterian (and you prob know how joyless they were), I discovered I was a Spiritualist at heart about 15 years ago.
I have had so MANY encounters with the Spirit World - I cannot NOT believe there isnt another dimension out there. and it ISNT scary!

an Ava day today - Barnes was pleased because I didn't have her on Monday as her mum had the day off - we both missed her!
Barnes loves to watch her and will now play a bit with her. She tosses his toys out of the basket, he bats them around and will sometimes pick them up and drop them beside her! as if he is saying 'do that again, That was fun'!
Poor love, she has had bronchitis and it is horrible to hear her cough, and you want to cough it up for her! I think that is why Barnes went up behind her a couple of times to sniff her back. But, he didn't seem too concerned and just sauntered back to his perch to keep an eye on her.
She did seem a lot better by this afternoon though - although she refused all food. at least she had a couple of bottles (milk though - not the best thing to drink when youre 'chesty'.)

an Ava day today! she seems much better! bless her, she is so sweet! she is 'into' Kisses and Cuddles! makes her giggle!
Barnes wanted to play with her I think - but she was more into watching Cbeebies! and re-arranging everything in my living/dining room she could reach!
my sis called in to deliver my mothers ashes. Now, I am a bit 'freaky' about cremation ashes - I really don't want them in my home, and DS1 was supposed to pick them up this afternoon.........which he hasn't! Barnes isn't happy either I don't think - he has been behaving a bit strangely - running around, up and down stairs, and actually jumped on my back, then batted me on the head - hard! he has NEVER done that before! I am sorry mums ashes, but you are going in the utility room (which is not actually IN the house).
I am still looking for a shelter for Barnes for the Garden - haven't found anything suitable yet though.

mums ashes are still in utility room! I feel a bit bad about relegating her there- but Cremation creeps me out! we all have our foibles I suppose.

I spent the afternoon making paper 'angels' with Atrix's youngest! that was fun! she is a lovely kid and good company. tbh they turned out rather nicer than I expected - considering its only printer paper, hot glue and I didn't have glittery pipe cleaners and had to use wire and beads instead. we made large versions for her mum to hang in the window or on the wall.

Barnes of course enjoyed her being here - and when Ava and her bro came up for a couple of hours he was delighted!
Agros delivered my new washing machine at 7.15am! good thing too as it was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday! and didn't arrive! then when I phoned Thursday morning the lady on the phone tried to tell me it wasn't on the system! Bullpoop! informed her I used to work for Agros and knew perfectly well that I just got bumped off in favour of a 'next day delivery'! if it hadn't been delivered today I would have cancelled it. then gone down Currrrys and picked one up. then I had a necklace kit delivered - then a couple of jewellery kits for Xmas pressies from amazong! today was 'deliveries day'!

Who the hell said Sunday was a day of 'rest'? its one of the busiest days in MY house! I did manage a couple of hours of knitting before Ava arrived because her bro was going to footy, then one of the grandtwins came down - and wanted to knit but had forgotten how to cast on, then I had to prepare sunday lunch - DIL had phoned and asked if everyone including a child she was minding could come to come for lunch....OK, but I am not doing a roast today - its chicken curry and rice! so I make curry and realise that I have to 'half and half' as its known in the valleys! half rice, half chips as I don't have enough of one or the other to feed 7 people! the curry will (I hoped). It DID just about - but I didn't have any. not a problem as I made it without thinking with wheat flour - and I cant tolerate that anyway. aaarghhh - I have made this curry for about thirty years and keep forgetting I cant eat if I use wheat flour!

Then my DD had arranged to do a 'sock snowman' tutorial with all her nieces and nephew up my house. jeez! total madness here!
BUT the kids made lovely snowmen/snowladies!

    something like these

Barnes was loving it at first - all these kids! but, they were ignoring him so he went up for a lovely long nap!

OH NO! Barnes had to have the 'bum wash' again this evening! He must be sitting on it! I took care to groom his nether regions today as I do now every day.
so, he had the bum wash, I dried him off and he was giving me 'The Glare', and then he went under the tv and lay on the dvd player shelf. which he never does.
Ava was here and bumshuffled over to him, and although he wasn't in the best ofmoods, he allowed her to touch him and even 'wag' his tail about! Of course I went over and stopped her and distracted her, but he didn't move! perhaps he found her touch comforting in some way - because she just moved back to him and touched his head then 'wagged' his tail a bit more! and he let her! but he is still giving me 'Glares' even though I gave him his favourite pouch meal.

Ava is funny! she has one of those soft foam balls and likes to play 'catch' with it, then she will suddenly put it in her mouth and bumshuffle off! the family have a dog and I wonder if she is copying 'stella' (the dog).

jeez - he was one grumpy (for him) cat today! I let him out when it stopped raining, I fed him his 'nicer' pouches, I even let him sit on my knitting pattern! ( was doing just straight stocking stitch but he didn't know that). and he STILL behaved a bit 'skittishly' towards me. made a big fuss of my bro when he called in though!
We put our Christmas tree up - he sat on the pouffe and supervised! Dil SAYS that Ava hasn't bothered with their Christmas tree - fingers crossed she leaves ours alone too! she normally 'rearranges' the living room within ten minutes of arriving! lol.

Wow Meri you've had a busy wee time the last few weeks! Glad Ava is feeling better now, nothing worse than hearing a wee one cough.

I'm so with you with regards to cremation, the thought of it creeps me out big time and worse is the fact that my brother was a funeral director and used to watch it happening live whilst waiting for a service to end and described it!!

Anyway sorry I was absent for a while again but unfortunately my nephew had enough and took an overdose. Thank goodness it turned out ok in the end but 120 tablets isn't just a cry for help, it was definitely a 'I've had enough and don't want to be here anymore' moment. Being referred back for help for him and tbh february can't come quick enough to get this flaming court case over and done with, I think it's all the dragging on that went for him.

Anyway on a lighter note I hope your all organised for christmas, are you cooking or being served this year :D Hope santa has some treats in his sack for barnes! xx
