I love these type of posts.

    You DIDN't buy 8m. So you weren't overcharged £11.

Stick to your argument, you do no-one any favours embellishing.

I bought 2, so I was overcharged £2 (or an extra 33%). I wasn't embellishing - it was an illustration of how much this guy is creaming off his customers. If you don't pay you get a NPB, despite the fact that HE's the one misleading customers.

And I don't dispute that. But by arguing with a narrative of 'what might have been' doesn't do you justice.

    Stick to the facts.

Sellers are usually fine with that after all :o

I would be if Ebay removed the oportunity for buyers to still leave feedback. Why should they - if its cancelled?

So to be on the safe side - i dont allow cancellations - i just file NPB's - as it stops them leaving stupid feedback.

    Ebays fault - as always.

    A) It wasn't cheap fabric.

    B) He owns the factory and is shifting shedloads of fabric every day.

    C) He states in big letters in the listing about postage discounts for multiple items. "Buy any number of metres of any of my fabrics and you'll get a postage discount. Each extra metre of fabric costs an extra £1 in postage. Pay no more than £10 postage if you buy 8 metres."

In my case what should have been £4 postage was actually £6. If I had bought 8 metres, instead of £10 he'd have charged me £21.

    D) I gave him several opportunities to rectify this via messages. He was leaving feedback everyday, but ignored my requests for a revised invoice.

    E) I gave him positive feedback for the fabric, but low stars for p&p and comms because he didn't reduce the p&p AS HE STATED HE WOULD and HE DIDN'T COMMUNICATE.

    I'll repeat myself.

No one forced you to buy from him.

He was the only seller of the product you needed, if he gets banned from ebay then there will be no sellers of this product.

You gave him positive feedback because everyone sees that, but cowardly gave him negative on DSRs, because that's effectively hidden. If you're not happy with a seller, do the decent thing and put it in the feedback.

DSR's were really set up for cyber cowards.

Just had my first low DSR's for 1 1/2 years.

Brand new item, no comms, postage less than cost and £3 under Royal Mails cost and despatched next day.

Feedback "Thanks for a perfect transaction"
Stars 1 accross the board - COWARDS!!!

Thankfully - they are sellers too - and my new grumpy policy is to get reveenge against sellers who should know better. Will be buying from the soon. If you can't beat em - join em.

Low stars across the board with positive feedback is against ebay policy, and should be removed by ebay if you contact them. Maybe less satisfying, but more worthwhile than risking your account over revenge.

If they are a competitor, it would be worth mentioning.

Quite rightly, but equally correct is to leave low stars for the portion of the transaction that falls below your expectations, for example postage being considerably less than stated. The item may be fine but if you feel you have been unfairly charged then that is what the stars are for, ditto the delivery times.

Reported several days ago, but no response thus far from Ebay.

I will wait until the monthly review, than try again.

I knew who it was straight away, and the DRS report confirmed it - and yes they do seller similar items. I remember wondering why they were buying from me when i packed them. Thats why i checked them first - and Voila.

TBH - well chuffed i manage 18 months without one - its just annoying when its not genuine.

If they sell similar items, I'd be straight on the phone as it's obvious they're trying to damage your scores.

I had a similar situation where one of the competition bought an item from me - I phoned ebay and explained I was concerned they would leave harmful feedback and they logged it for me to call back if they left feedback (which they haven't done thus far).

Report link is useless, but Dublin CS are pretty reliable - I wouldn't make out you know they left you poor DSR, just say one of your competitors bought an item and left feedback and you're concerned they could have left low DSR.

Reporting them for abusing feedback will be far more harmful to them than retaliation.

I leave feedback but have never done the stars thing; it's an online purchase transaction not a popularity award.
