Nobody forced you to buy the item - nobody else is selling the item - you were glad that this seller was selling the item - you knew the complete price before buying - do you think marking the seller down and thereby helping to kick him off of ebay would help you or others in the future?
Do you realise that this was the only seller of this product and if he gets kicked off, then you'll have nobody to buy from? Can you not see the madness of this?
I won't need any more of it (it was fabric).
He shouldn't have offered postage discounts if he wasn't prepared to apply them. The postage costs were ADVERTISED as £3 plus £1 for any additional items (ie per metre of fabric). He didn't lower the cost from £6, offered no answers to my correspondence. That's why I hammered his P+P and communication stars. It was absolutely justified.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Unless it states that in the text written by the seller, then you may be misreading this.
The note under the postage and packing tab which says "
Each additional item" only refers to more of that same item.

Like many businesses out there I charge for my time. If it takes me 15 minutes or half an hour even to securely pack a large, expensive, electrical item, I'm sure not doing it for free. If an employee packs it instead, they still need paying.
absolutely correct, but try adding that onto the stamp cost and your stars *will* be hammered. It won't matter soon where you add it as you'll be paying fees on the lot anyway, the only difference will be that the TRS with their free postage will be paying a lot less in fees than the rest of us . Then when buyers are asked to judge the p and p charged one seller against another you will be rated against a TRS who is automatically getting 5*.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Totally agree. Most of my items are "free" P&P anyway, but the one's that aren't I actually make a "loss" on the stated postage. It's the only way to avoid a hammering from ignorant buyers.0 -

Very short sighted. You won't need it now, but you may want it in the future, or another buyer may want it.
You are doing the dirty work of a company - like Starbucks and Amazon, that use legal ways to avoid paying tax.
What is so wrong that sellers use legal ways to avoid ebay fees and keep prices down? After all, they are only doing what ebay does. The difference is, that sellers are trying to keep the price down, not enhance shareholder revenue and give bonuses to people like 'Fred the shed'.
I still struggle to understand this lunacy, that if a seller sells you an item that you need/can't get elsewhere and sells it at a good price (nobody forced you to buy it) that you feel the need to try and get them banned from ebay. If I suddenly decide that I need a part for my car tomorrow, and there is a seeler on ebay who is the only seller of this part and he's charging £10 for the part and £10 for delivery, when the actual cost of delivery is only £3 but he is a fiver cheaper than anybody else (if anybody else is selling the part), then I'm bloody grateful that he has the part listed and it's a good price and I'll know where to come back to if I need more parts.
The last thing in the world I'd like to do, is kick him in the nuts, because he moved some of his cost price into postage to offer me a cheap price. You people are absolutely raving mad, complete fruit cakes. I've just paid £600 to a structural engineer this morning, on a house I'm selling in London. It's a lot of money for about an hour's survey and a couple of hours on typing the report up.
But, I knew how much he charged beforehand, I knew what I was getting and he is providing the service I asked for. He was good at his job and ensured that I knew what I was getting and kept me informed. If he was on ebay he'd probably be out of business, with low DSRs like, he charged a lot, he was only working for an hour, £100 of the bill was VAT - I don't know why he charged me so much. Get a grip people - you buy from sellers because you want what they sell and you know the price before you buy - stop trying to get them kicked off ebay - two hats.0 -

No. It's stated in the listing. Seller states that postage discounts are available when ordering more from him, and that maximum postage is £10 (if buying more than 8m of any combination of fabrics).Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

A) It wasn't cheap fabric.
He owns the factory and is shifting shedloads of fabric every day.
C) He states in big letters in the listing about postage discounts for multiple items. "Buy any number of metres of any of my fabrics and you'll get a postage discount. Each extra metre of fabric costs an extra £1 in postage. Pay no more than £10 postage if you buy 8 metres."
In my case what should have been £4 postage was actually £6. If I had bought 8 metres, instead of £10 he'd have charged me £21.
D) I gave him several opportunities to rectify this via messages. He was leaving feedback everyday, but ignored my requests for a revised invoice.
E) I gave him positive feedback for the fabric, but low stars for p&p and comms because he didn't reduce the p&p AS HE STATED HE WOULD and HE DIDN'T COMMUNICATE.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I love these type of posts.
You DIDN't buy 8m. So you weren't overcharged £11.
Stick to your argument, you do no-one any favours embellishing.0
