I recently bought 2 items from a seller who offered to combine postage. I asked 4 times for invoices with combined postage and received nothing. It was £3 postage per item, so in the end I paid the £6, and when the parcel arrived, having cost £2.70 to send, I left factual feedback and hammered their stars. I didn't have a choice, really.

It is not only past your bedtime but over your intelligence level. But you did that all by yourself.

Sometimes it's not that simple though is it? The items I sell are quite large and have to be packed and mailed individually.

If a buyer bought multiple units, there is no scope for discount on the postage, certainly not with the courier I use anyway, but that's my choice.

If a seller did not specify multiple item discounts upfront and a buyer purchased anyway without confirming a discount in advance, the buyer has only got themselves to blame. It is a bit rich to leave a seller negative feedback for what effectively is your own neglect. There is no law that states sellers HAVE to give a discount.

If they are mailed separately and they cost to mail what is charged then that is fine by me.

If you offer a discount but it is only nominal and is still excessively more than is actually paid, then that is not fine by me.

If you cost an item as £7 to post and it actually costs £2.60 should a buyer just accept that or use the system Ebay has put in place to rate how they feel about that? I think the latter.

ah did I hurt your widdle feelings. You've yet to offer the op any actual advice so why not move along & leave the grown ups to their business.

Queesy, quinsy whatever you are called. Come back in a few years when you can chat with the grown ups.

OP I apologise for letting the child spoil your thread, as chances says, they will be off to bed soon.

So, you were avoiding paying ebay commission on the sale by over-charging on postage.
I just love you people sticking up for poor old non tax paying ebay.
What will be your excuse about 'overcharging' p&p now that ebay take a FVF from it?
