Have yo done a Statement of Affairs? If only for yourself. It always helps to know where your money is going, so that you can trim it back. YOu are in a great position to really throw everything at it for a short time, whilst you are living at home.
good luck

Thank you for all your support!

Having a good day so far, working all day so will be another NSD for me, also had £10.99 from expenses arrive in my account which I had forgot about so paid that straight to Barclays cc!
Hi Chevalier yes I have done a statement of affairs for myself and the only outgoings I have are my rent to mum, car insurance, and phone all the rest is debts. Not forgetting my gym membership, that's the only thing I could save money on but to be honest it gives me something to do in the evenings so I don't go out with my friends as much spending money on drinks and food etc

Last night wasn't great didn't end up having a NSD it was my dads birthday, although I had bought his present in advance we went to the pub so spent some money there.
Today is a NSD and only a couple of days till payday really can't wait for it so I can budget my money, and pay some of my debts off and see the balances come down!
Did some surveys on valued opinions and just withdrew a £10 voucher for boots, which I will either save up for Christmas or treat myself to something nice.

Thank you SammyJo! I will make sure I have a look at your diary when I have time if you have one?
So today is the day before payday! Its kind of going to be a NSD as I need to buy a hair colour, but im going to use my boots points so wont be technically spending! I got my wage slip today and had a lovely suprise - a bonus!
Super excited about tomorrow so I can start attacking my debt properly! I do have to keep a chunk of money aside though for holiday spending money.... I didnt get into debt for the holiday so I dont plan to for the spending money either. I go next month so only this payday and next to get my money together.
I am determined to get some change saved into my sealed pot this month, and also to get my Barclaycard CC down some so will be a lot of NSD's this month to ensure that happens!

So today is finally payday

I've divided all of my money out to the relevant accounts so that I am able to budget for the month. All my rent, loans and minimum payments have been made, so anything else I can pay will be overpayments for this month
Claimed £5 from top cashback today, for something I purchased a while ago
Another NSD today have done 3 out of 5 this week! Apart from having to put petrol in today but I don't count that as I have to get that!
Have some change to add to my sealed pot today that i found in the bottom of my bag
60p! It may not seem like much but come November when I open my change pot I can pay all of it off of my Barclays CC
Finally feel like I have a plan that might work to shift this debt

Hi Laura, you seem to be debt busting with a vengeance :T I agree that it's a massive relief to have a plan in place to address your debts and every time I have an urge to spend wobble, I look back over my diary, tell myself how far I've come already and remind myself how much better things will be when I'm debt free :j Well done and have a great weekend

Hi Laura,
Just wanted to say good luck and that you seem to be doing really well! I am in a similar amount of debt to you and am also fed up of all my wages going towards my debts but not actually clearing many of them due to the interest.
I have subscribed. I also need help in staying away from handbags/shoes/clothes/make up so reading your diary will help to keep me motivated!0 -
Thank you both

I am very focused on it this time around! Not only was it clothes/shoes/ Handbags I have an issue with! The two loans I have are for cars I wanted but couldn't afford at the time, and no longer have now!
I have learnt my lesson the hard way that's for sure, trying to get through this weekend only spending £10! Its going to be tricky but I'm confident I can do it

Thought I would stop by and update to keep me motivated!
Have managed to get through this whole weekend only spending £6 so far, and have plenty of Change up add to my sealed pot too! Think I may have a count up later to see how much has added up. The £4 I have left from this weekend I think I'm going to put back into my account and pay it towards Barclays CC, I should hopefully be able to do this every week if I stick to my budget!
Checked my Nhs smoke free app and I haven't been smoke free as long as I thought but I have done nearly 26 days and apparently saved myself £145 which just shows how much smoking was costing me!
Looking forward to the week ahead and seeing how many NSD's I can manage this week!
