I've fixed my phone! It took a week, but at least I don't have to replace it.

Heap No 1 has been reduced to one eighth of the size it was this morning, and Heap No 2, by half. The bits that could be rehomed without turning the whole house upside down are where they should be. I'll deal with the rest as and when I can figure it all out.

The vet hospital just phoned and I can go and collect Mrs Dog at 7.00pm. The nurse says she's absolutely fine and has had something to eat, so all I've got to do is help her get better and dose her up with various pills. I've got chicken cooking for her already and I'll do her rice while I do the fish and chips for tonight. Thank you for your comments, Pigpen, Lamewolf and CY. Very helpful.
    Better is good enough.

Evening everyone. Around the paid stuff today, I managed to clean the flat surfaces in LR and bathrooms, and also sorted the tea towel drawer in the kitchen. Dailies done but I'm ashamed to say - dogs not walked yet (and it may not happen tonight) but I have played with them.

HB - glad MrsDog is going to be ok and good that the phone is working again.
Bossy - the cake idea sounds great
CY - hope the WM is back working soon

I have a busy day with DH planned for tomorrow but Sunday is definitely going to be gardening day. I have a composter!! So flying will just be minimal dailies. Happy though as once again every room in the house got some attention this week.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Good evening :D

Paid stuff done - baked some cakes & made some necklaces. And I was right about every single toy coming out :D All away now.

DH has cleaned the bathroom, our bedroom, the hall & landing & walked the dog. I have washed up a few times.

DH didn't get the job :( He is really down now. He is not even getting interviews, and now been turned down for a part time postie job :( Money is really tight at the moment, and every penny counts. Hopefully I will be earning more when the schools go back, although it won't be much more. Lets hope the guitars sell for lots of dosh this weekend! I was hoping to start up my uni course again soon, but that won't be happening unless I get some funding.

On the plus side, because of our household income (or lack of it) student finance have upped DD1's grant this year from £200 to £2000+ At least one of us will eat! :p

Ok. I think I will do myself some ice cream, then look at some paperwork.

My guag must be having a smashing time with LW's. Maybe they have gone to the seaside.

Paediatrician's appointment was a bit of the usual waste of time.

We had been invited to a friends's house but she wasn't home.

    Basics achieved

    Friday Rooms of Dooms

    15 minutes..
[STRIKE]Eat a frog or at least take a big bite from it[/STRIKE] My frog was to sort out the massive load of make-up I appear to have collected. Not that much got binned but it is all now in proper cases and sorted by product / brand.

    30 minutes to spare..
Clear away anything that isn't in its place, clothes, toys, books etc.
    [STRIKE]Vacuum the floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean the window[/STRIKE]

    Got an hour..
[STRIKE]The cupboard/drawer/pile you have been meaning to deal with forever, the time has come to tackle it![/STRIKE] I can't take credit for this, but Mr Misty cleaned, cleared and sorted the kitchen cupboard where we keep pans, baking trays, weighing scales etc.
[STRIKE]Not got a pile, then your surfaces should be nice and clear for a good dusting.[/STRIKE] Did the dusting everywhere earlier in the week.

    how rude!

Well I have achieved very little today although did orchestrate a toy pick up before kiddie bath time.

It transpires my monkey of a son is a bit of a ladies man. He gave me a rather passionate bedtime kiss. I asked where he learnt to do that and he told me "Grace" so I jokingly put on fb tagging her mum, and another mum has popped up saying actually he kissed my DD too :rotfl: so he is blaming the girls, when he is the "perpetrator"

Eaten much carp today, big sugar cravings, hope they disappear now they've been fed :o

    Painted my nails.

Apart from decluttering a bath for me (and discovering another facepack which doesn't agree with my skin! ) and changing my bed, flying has been more or less zilch here. DD is trying to knit and I keep having to stop what I'm doing and help her correct the mistakes. I have been busy watching utube videos of various knitting projects while waiting for the bath to run, the facepack to dry, and other stuff to finish.

Hopefully while DD is out tomorrow with ex I can get stuck in. The house is looking okay so a quick vacuum & dust through will probably suffice ;) I also have 4 loads of laundry to do, but right now I'm having some me time painting my nails again. I have one nasty nail which I'm growing out but it means I'm having to paint my nails every/everyother day to keep it covered which isn't helping as it takes me a good hour to do them properly so it doesn't peel off within the hour. :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Evening all,

Well I have achieved today a big fat zero:mad:

Instead I have been out for coffee, done a little retail therapy, been to the library, enjoyed a glass of wine in the garden reading said library book, had a bath and now about to watch TV :D

Did get the washing dry as the sun came out eventually, just the ironing to do now! ( I hate ironing, Have to confess I tend to shake and fold most of my washing, much to the disgust of my Mother who irons absolutely everything )

I promise to be better behaved tomorrow, and do the hovel that passes for my daughters bedroom;)

    See you soon x
