Thanks, Dusty and Honey Bear. Glad to hear that Mrs Dog is beginning to feel better.

    I have
    - emptied 2 large cartons
    - washed and put away all my vases, bulb bowls and candles
    - cleaned and put away tools that were left out in a washing-up bowl
    - washed out the washing-up bowl and left it in the utility sink
    - found the Steps Crafts box - which was not a packing case but a plastic crate (one of the type of which 5 lids fell and injured my shoulder 8 weeks ago ) and not in the lounge but right behind my office chair  - now we have some small flat paintbrushes for doing in corners and round window frames :)
    - given DH a roll of clingfilm and HB's instructions:T

    I will now
    - have my shower :o
    - make cuppa for DH and me
    - put on WMx1 including my white fluffy dressing gown (which is now filthy with plaster dust)
    - go shopping for food and also get new clingfilm for the kitchen
Then it will be time for lunch and afterwards I can start painting in the donwstairs bedroom - we only need to do the second coat (colour :D) on the ensuite wall at present, before the sliding door is fitted: the rest can wait until after the lounge is done. That way we'll get the packing cases rehomed this weekend.

    Onwards and upwards...

Good luck with the shoe shopping, Pigpen!

    Morning all :D

DD is out with ex & they've gone the safari park (half price voucher in last nights paper ;):money: ) so I've given her £20 spends which is back dated pocket money and 'wages' and said NO CUDDLY TOYS :rotfl: Ex thought that was amusing until I told him how many she has, then he understood why ;)

So as soon as I've finished this mug of coffee I'm going to get on with the flying. WMx1 done, but will be 2 loads in the TD so WM2 is on a delayed start as I don't want loads of wet washing hanging around. DD has tidied her room and made her bed and the place is pretty tidy so in theory it shouldn't take me long at all to do the whole house thanks to sort of keeping up with the lists ;)

  • Rang w/m repair man - he doesn't do my make, but having heard what had happened suggested that the pipe might be kinked. Pulled machine out (no way of checking really) and now can't get the blooming thing back. Daren't try to use it so repair man it is on Monday .... if only to put the blooming thing back. Why do kitchen designers never leave enough space for things...

Lots of washing on line; more in WM (my bedding)
There is a HUGE pile of unwashed clothing in DS's room. And there it shall stay until HE puts it in the wash. There are also glasses in there. ditto.

Leave DS's stuff firmly where it is - he'll have to do his own in Manchester...

Beautiful name for a beautiful baby, Pigpen!

I am just drinking my :coffee: before going out to shops - and I must do a tip run too, as unpacking the cartons has resulted in a mountain of paper!
Weather not too good for hanging out washing, but it's being washed anyway. I may have to use the TD.

Both the name and she are absolutely beautiful Pigpen. I'm only driving so I can get to you, and then as your personal chauffeur so you can escape for a breather. I might just bring some tins of G&T for personal consumption after you've had your break, though, so the kind offer of sofa-sobering space is accepted. Thank you.

OH is packing for five days away, which involves much opinion-seeking from Moi as to which shoes/jacket/trousers are most suitable for footie watching (season ticket sharer for a London team), a visit to the film director's house (v. posh) for chats re editing and then to take a hypochondriac friend to hospital for tests. On my part I forsee much eating of cheese and onion sarnies, trashy television watching and chocolate-scoffing while he's away, and after my return from Pigger's Land, obviously.
    Better is good enough.
