Survived my first ever stint in The Clearing Room today. It was actually far easier than I thought it would be - because I managed to circumvent those who feel Knowledge is Power and won't give even a half-inch piece of advice with those who *would* give advice...

But I have their measure now and know I *can* do it. And I *know* who to speak to in future!

My biggest pleasure is that I accepted far more than I refused so I'm feeling generally pleased with the day. It was a long day though.... but, fortunately, now we've gone into "ABB" mode only, I can do a normal hour day tomorrow...

Flying will then resume in earnest....

Well I have a new boiler! It's just about finished - he's coming back to do the finishing off tomorrow at 8.30 - (girls not impressed - he needs to check the radiators so they've got to be up!)

There was a major problem when the kitchen lost all power at 5pm! He managed to fix it, but is insisting that the electrician returns to give it the once over tomorrow morning too,

Engineer arrived at 11am and left at 6.30. OH headed straight to the chippy to get tea - not very MSE, but very much appreciated.....

Right - now it's my turn to have a bath.... catch you tomorrow.....

    Oh dear
Now DD is up. She wanted her daddy bear and is currently sat on my bed arranging them under her blankie. I've told her its bedtime and she said "aww mummy just one more minute please" :D bless her she asked so nicely. And she's very cute in her little pink onesie and her hair flopping around I haven't really got the heart to chase her away...

well done to your DD skinty :T

Cheers mate. I just get so damned frustrated because I used to be able to do everything myself (had to, married to the XH but that's another tale...) and I get so cross with myself that I can't do stuff that 10 years ago I could still manage.:o

  • Congrats to all those whose family members had results today! :)

Crazy busy day today trying to get everything ship shape at work before I go on holiday next week. Not helped by a 2.5 hour hair appointment this afternoon. So probably my least successful Flylady day so far. But, looking on the bright side, a whole lot more got done than otherwise would have! :)

    Extra mission:
[STRIKE]Sort any piles of magazines, catalogues etc, any you can pass on or recycle?[/STRIKE] I actually did this quite recently, so only two magazines left, neither of which is read yet.

[STRIKE]Get out winter boots/shoes do they need reheeling/polishing/replacing?[/STRIKE] Sort of a partial "Done" here. I found some beautiful suede knee-high Biba boots gathering dust at the bottom of my walk-in wardrobe, so they have been brought out, brushed and sprayed with suede protector. They don't need re-heeled. I'm sure there's plenty more in there though!

Another extra mission was to dust the master bedroom, as it certainly needed it!

Dailies - S&S kitchen and en-suite, and sweep up around chinchilla cage.
