DS is off to Manchester Met (First choice so he's happy) and my neice is ALSO going there - her elder sister got a 1st there a few years ago! So not too far away; reasonably easy travel too.
DS is studying Law. Once he has his degree this will mean I no longer have the highest law qualification in the family!
DD will probably react like your DS, Dusty; she works so hard and her results don't really reflect the effort she puts in; I think it's a combination of sheer terror and that she's not quite there with her exam technique yet.

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Spent this morning listing 24 old vinyl records on eb@y. Got bored halfway through so started writing silly things in the description box to keep me amused
Paid work for a couple of hours now, then home to eat another frog or two and have a quick blitz through before starting on dinner. Hope everyone's Thursday is good! xx0 -

Well done to the Flyteens for their results x
I'm getting nervous for Ds1' Gcse results next week.
I haven't achieved much today. Laundry done. We were going to see Titan robot but DS2 didn't want to go. I need to find my get up and go. Send it back if you see it.
Welcome home Bossy x
Hope the haircut went ok yesterday mummyof50 -
Probs quoting & posting??
BIG WELL DONE!! to the flyteens with A and AS level results. Onwards & upwards
DD is counting down to the GCSE results this time next week....
Meeting decluttered, cheque received, customer happy, me happy
HoneyBear I did laugh at your great uncle's warning of nesting tables in the LR.
Lamewolf If I see any further reference to you being "the U word" I will get the flylady bus to travel to MK, park outside your house and make rude noises in your general direction!! You are so much more than just 'useful' to Mr LW, your doggy clients, their owners and to us flyladies and we all love you. Have a gentle slap round the chops with a wet haddock
I'm going to have some lunch now - salad leftover sandwich I think, then it's fly time...*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -

I am feeling a bit bleaugh today
DD2 is home and I am not sure if she has pee'd me off or upset me IYSWIM
Had a little cry - but not that she could see (or even care!) Apparently, speaking and expressing an opinion is 'having a go!', although by not doing so, I am also a bad parent. I give up! I am saying nothing anymore - I have no opinion. I don't suppose it really matters that we will losing a big chunk of TC in September because she doesn't know what course to take & doesn't bother to have a job either. Who needs to eat anyway!
Sorry - seem to have ranted
Anyway - no one booted be up the backside, so I still haven't even looked at my SEF. I have looked at my Uni email. I suspended my course in January, when my life was turned upside down, but I thought I would see if I could still log in. I can. Consequently, I had about 700 unread emails!! Whoops! I am keeping the ones that may be useful going forwards, & deleting the rest.
Anyway - back to it. Although DS also needs a rocket to get him off his lappy & doing his maths or art homework. He will be stressing in a week or so when it's almost time to go back to school. I suppose that will be my fault too!0 -

Congrats to the Valli teens! Esp to Valli's DS, because he had to go the long way to reach this situation! I remember Valli a couple of years ago on results day - a lot of hard work has been done since then, I'll bet.
The boiler man is working valiantly - he swears it will be working by tonight, but he will have to tidy up tomorrow... Fine by me, as long as it works tonight.
I'm having to post on the laptop as I can't get the internet to load on the desk top. When I switched it on this morning it added some updates - all 36,000 of them. Since then I've not been able to get on, although I know the internet is working.....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Anyways.... I've just brough in the washing I put out earlier, just in time to miss the rain that started 2 minutes later.:D It's all dry.:T
And I've eaten a tadpole that was just starting to grow it's froggy legs, I've defrosted the freezer. It was hard work; the drawers are heavy when full, but I took my time and used the trolley to stack stuff on, so I got there eventually, and Mr LW doesn't have to help with it later.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
