What were they planning? And please tell me that staring at your house thing is an exageration  yikes!October Grocery Challenge: £20.65/£150

First week for me too and am already really pleased with the difference, although I realise that I probably have a case of newbie over-enthusiasm.

My extra mission was to remove the vast number of coats hanging in the hall and sort them out. I have a few to dry clean, some in the laundry, some gone to charity and a couple to bin. I never knew I had so much space on my coat hooks!

Valli fingers crossed for your DS
I've had my me time watching WDYTYA?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi all
bossy welcome home - glad you've had a lovely time
LW thank you, was a bit of a shock
Worked both jobs today so flying consists of putting on DW and emptying it when I finally got home.
Will put the house to bed before I go.
Pants! Just remembered I need to iron some clothes for the paid stuff.
Goodnight all
Deco x0 -
Evening
WM has been fed 8 times today including a nice long boil wash....that will give the pipes a good ol' slosh out:p seems like I have spent all day pegging out in between Daisy mode
DW been on 3 times.....done a dinner of choice for the condemned DD2....condemned to a life of student loans if all goes well with her exam results tomorrow. (Dr Pepper Quorn and Dr Pepper Pork Joint for us Omnivores, managed to drag DD2 to Mr I with me to go and get stuff as we are starting to get down to the stuff no one really wants to eat atm)
Good luck to all fly-offspring getting their results tomorrow  but not too many jars eh? no one really wants to be washing regurgitated stuff off carpets in this weather;)
DS brought a "friend" of the head biting variety home from nursery today, just the one, but it had already been busy depositing a few unhatched offspring on his hair - so had a long bath playing water polo interspersed with scraping hair with an evil looking metal comb and some strawberry conditioner, and I am convinced I have got them all.....thankfully I came up clean and so has DD4. The other are in the process of checking now, so we should all be ok.
Washed out compost caddy and sink given a good scrub today
For some reason my steam mop has disappeared, so I will have to pull out all the understairs cupboard tomorrow to find it.....
Have some tadpoles growing legs:
need to go to Police Station about Mr I can't drive for a W£rther's Original
get card for DD2 irrespective of pass or fail
buy dress for DD2 wedding she is going to....aarrgh:mad:
sort out a present from skint kids for their Dad for next week...preferably something I can stick on the credit card as hard cash is in short supply now
need to order a new petrol cap for my lawn mower
need to speak to V@x to get a new bucket handle for my carpet washer
Mount Foldmore in need of attention before there is an avalanche!
Right, no star or space station gazing tonight, so I should try and get some shut eye......
Nighty night :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Hello! Flying in my holiday home. DD2 has run out of smalls after 4 days (she's sleeping with DS2 and DS3 do has put clean undies on after bath time.). I had to go to the Laundrette which was rather challenging as all the camping people's were drying their rain soaked bits in the TD's. DD/'s smalls are draped over the banisters.
Who ever said holidays were when you get a rest from housework and cooking was a liar!
In mitigation I did have a v v nice dinner at ja3ie 0liver's 15 in C0rnwall last night with lots of vin0.0 -
ooo wineberries look delish,I was going to plant some raspberries but I may have to change my mind
well I cleaned to bathroom today and have washed up and put it all away, also washed through some 'smalls' as I obviously can't count and didn't pack enough ??!!!
Then we went out for the day, lovely weather, went to an RSPB bird sanctuary and spotted quite a few new types (quite pleased with myself as I knew them all!!)
We made a packed lunch (very MSE) which was lovely and sat listening to the birds cheep while we ate
Then back to the caravan for a quick tidy up and tea. Played some board games and then watched a film
All in all a very relaxing day!
Forecast for tomorrow is dire but I have my book so will be content to relax and read OH happy as we have WiFi!! (thanks BT)
Night allGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
All done apart from hauling the Hoover around and mopping. Lovely day trip today apart from the rain. We now only have 3 Gromits left to find and one is in Paddington station. Washed my bedding yesterday so will bung in kids' tomorrow while I drag the sucky thing around
.
Bossymoo, glad you had a good time.
