really worried about dsr scores.

I'm not sure if I understand it correct, but I'm going to be a low volume seller so won't be selling in the thousands each year.

Do I understand it right that for every 100 sales if around 3 people leave low DSR scores ( one or two stars) my account is in trouble?

To me that sounds impossible to maintain, there's always going to be that buyer that will leave a low DSR, no matter how helpful I am to them.
Chances are I'm in this thread asking questions as I love to learn new stuff. (Did you know all polar bears are left handed?)

Yes, just a couple of low stars in a single year in the same category can cause problems. Have a read of the first few posts in this thread

    Thank you.

Do a lot of people realistically leave low dsrs and does a note in the package mentioning the importance of stars help, maybe adding a free gift too?

There are buyers who will leave poor stars but luckily they are rare, otherwise we would all have been banned by now.

Anecdotally asking for 5* can make It worse, best to avoid any discussion around stars with the buyer entirely .

I hate slips of paper begging for 5*. You'll do fine with reasonable (or free) postage, a quick dispatch, good photographs and accurate description.

I've read on a few forums that people like to get a little note from the buyer thanking them and really love to get a free gift, would you personally mark someone down for adding a note saying 'dsrs are really important if you feel you can't leave 5 out of 5 then please contact me if you have any problems, I want your shopping experience to be the best it can be.

The fact is a lot of buyers don't know how important dsrs are, and think a 3 is fine.

I wouldn't mark someone down, but it wouldn't affect what I was going to leave either I'd found some aspect of their service lacking.

Again, I can't express how highly I despise those little begging bits of paper.

If you were going to mark them low though would you contact them first so they have a chance to rectify any problem you might have?

No, not usually for stars . I would only contact a seller where the transaction was so bad that I was considering a non positive *and* there was a possibility of it being rectified.

If of instance I was unhappy at my item not being despatched on time there would be no point in contacting the seller, it has already happened.

Do you often mark people low on stars?

Rarely , my default is 5* and I don't usually come across poor sellers as I tend to stick to business sellers only.
