    You have the laptop.

but if 2 months down the line Littlewoods find the LT was taken on a credit account and not paid for then they could recover the LT as its their property until paid for in full
  • Oh for goodness sake, not if the police/bailifs take it off me I haven't!! If you can't keep up/contribute something useful, please, don't comment!

Cananyone advise whet I should be putting in an email to the 2 retailers concerned? Don't tell me not to bother......
Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!

Look, someone else has brought this, and paid for it.

They have then sold it to you via Amazon.

You have paid for it and have clear title to it.

If at some point in the future it turns out Littlewoods have been had over, it's not your problem.

You did not scam anyone, you won't be arrested and baliffs won't be sent after you.
    "Love you Dave Brooker! x"

"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"

Read it again. This laptop cane DIRECT FROM LITTLEWOODS. The confirmed over the phone that it they was orderd THE DAY BEFORE I RECEIVED IT. I placed my order on Amazon on 25TH OF JULY, and the originally supplied me with 2 FALSE TRACKING RECEIPTS.

This is not a simple 'bought this, sold it on' scenario!!
I am well aware I didn't scam anyone thank you very much!! but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be out nearly £400 when they do come knocking! Now !!!!!! off, you aren't helping, I'm stressed already!

The problem becomes very much ops. If there has been a significant fraud and the police look to recover goods.

I'm really sure people who buy stolen cars, don't see the issue until the police recover the vehicle.

Op needs to act so she does not fall out of her a-z guarantee. If they find out it is fraud. Which can take some months before it all comes to light. They can decide themselves what to do with the item and she can claim against amazon.

Rather than op thinking, oh it is all ok and then the police come knocking for it back in a few months and she has no method of claiming.

As looking deeper into s75, I maybe wrong but it doesn't appear to cover purchasing goods which are then deemed stolen and confiscated.

thats why advice has been to return using amazons a-z protection and then if the seller rejects this then you are still covered, but if its the shop that google earth shows then they may signed for receipt as they may get several parcels a week. then you will get refunded by Amazon and have no ties to the LT

I'll then be done for passing on stolen goods, digging myself into an even deeper hole!

Which is why you don't. You push littlewoods and Amazon to get to the bottom of this ASAP, I'd also notify the police as you suspect they maybe stolen goods. Cover yourself.

Push them to look into it, if they get confiscated. You claim with a-z.
  • Which bring me back to-what do I put in an email?
