Amazon item from Littlewoods-very odd (very.co.uk)

To be honest you might want to edit the thread title to include the words very.co.uk
They have reps here which would then read the thread and as littlewoods is part of their group they may be able to help you out...
The thing is though Littlewoods aren't going to think much of it until they don't get paid. If it's a credit account obviously this will take time, probably 30 days until the first payment is due? Then not much will probably happen until that's 1 month overdue then this is when it will all go wrong. So it could be as much as 2 months time until Littlewoods start to raise an eyebrow about it.
If I were the op I'd want to be rid of the thing now whilst you can easily do via Amazon under the distant selling regs and be covered by their own A-Z scheme.
Isn't it an offence to be receiving stolen goods knowingly? The op already suspects it is, Litttlewoods will know the op thinks this as well by the amount of contact the op has done. I really don't think keeping it is a good idea.0 -

The OP has paid a reasonable market price for the item
They have also contacted the companies possibly affected and been told all is good0 -

Yeah but as I said if it's been bought on credit and no payments have been missed yet (I doubt the first payment will have been due for 30 days anyway) then the companies affected aren't going to be worried yet.0 -
Worst end Littlewoods gets bummed, but it belongs to the Barclay Brothers who's approach to tax...

the only time it would be addressed to amazon is if the purchase come direct from amazon.
just like you purchase something from ebay and return it, who do you return it to the seller and not ebay.
Seriously, you don't know what you are talking about. if its a Market Place seller FULFILLED by Amazon then the return is to Amazon.
You need to look up what the word fulfilled means as you are talking rubbish.

The difficulty here is that if it is fraud ultimately the seller, in this case Littlewoods, will want their goods back. To littlewoods amazon means nothing in the transaction.
If they ask very.co.uk and they arent bothered then at least you can strike it off the list to say you tried to sort it out...0 -
Ok, let's end the speculation on returns shall we

That's what I get when I click the return/replace button, plainly, it would go to the seller, then if have nothing when Littlewoods call asking for it back. Not happening bPlease excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0 -

The danger you have here op, is you have paid below the retail price for it....if something is to good to be true.
If it didn't before, then that last email should really have brought it home.
The fact you know something isn't right either with the contact you've had. If littlewoods do involve the police, as for all you know it might not be a one off. It could be on a mass scale. With lots of cards and accounts. Then the police will certainly be looking at who has received items and reclaiming them etc.
So I'd fully explain your concerns NOW, in writing. So no one can say you just sat back and accepted the goods. Taking advice from the local police station would be prudent too. You need to protect yourself.
I certainly wouldn't return it, you don't want to bee seen handling good you suspect could be stolen due to fraud.
Contact your card issuer for advice as you will be covered under s75.0 -
