    Read it again. This laptop cane DIRECT FROM LITTLEWOODS. The confirmed over the phone that it they was orderd THE DAY BEFORE I RECEIVED IT. I placed my order on Amazon on 25TH OF JULY, and the originally supplied me with 2 FALSE TRACKING RECEIPTS.

    This is not a simple 'bought this, sold it on' scenario!!
    I am well aware I didn't scam anyone thank you very much!! but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be out nearly £400 when they do come knocking! Now !!!!!! off, you aren't helping, I'm stressed already!

    Look, someone else has brought this, and paid for it.

    They have then sold it to you via Amazon.

    You have paid for it and have clear title to it.

    If at some point in the future it turns out Littlewoods have been had over, it's not your problem.

    You did not scam anyone, you won't be arrested and baliffs won't be sent after you.

    Do you honestly think that the police will come to your door looking for a laptop that you gave to your brother who emigrated to America?

    How will they even prove that the laptop that you gave to your brother who emigrated to America is the laptop you got from Amazon?

    OK, just to totally sum up the situation as I understand it:

    - You bought an item from Amazon and paid an agreed amount for it.
    - The item was delivered by Littlewoods, to your name and address, and the invoice amount is higher
    - Littlewoods have confirmed that the account is not in your name.

    If those points are all correct, then I don't see that you've got anything to worry about. As far as the laptop is concerned, someone bought it from Littlewoods and sold it to you. Littlewoods credit is unsecured, so there is nothing wrong with this, and no way that Littlewoods can require you to return it.

    A few possibilities:
    - Someone had a decent discount voucher or goodwill credit at Littlewoods that they had no use for, and so they took the opportunity to get an interest free loan (£500 goodwill gesture + £400 laptop on BNPL). It's strange that they wouldn't have just told you this though.
    - An established company who ran into issues obtaining stock, and arranged the order through Littlewoods at a loss. Seems unlikely, but possible.
    - It is also possible that the Littlewoods account has been set up fraudulently, but that isn't your concern. You have a clear paper trail to show that you purchased legitimately from Amazon - Littlewoods relationship with their customer (or the fraudster as the case may be) isn't your problem.

    The only thing I'd look to be doing as a final precaution is asking Amazon what details have been made available to their seller. I wouldn't expect them to have passed on your card details, but if they have, it may be worth contacting your bank and having your card replaced.

    Littlewoods will have a fraud dept. Find out the direct email address for it. They will be quicker than normal customer service.

    Say simply first paragraph you are concerned the goods maybe the result of a fraudulent purchase, therefore stolen.

    Then explain why the timeline as briefly as possible.

    Explain time is of the essence as you will need to claim off Amazon A-Z protection.

    Cc Amazon in it too.

    It is worth contacting your local police for advice.

    The problem is with fraud, the companies are not interested until the victim starts questioning the card charge or account charge. The police only become interested when they report it as a crime. Even then only if it has been done on a moderate scale or the company pushes for recovery.

    I don't know why people are being so funny with you, as personally. It doesn't sound right to me and the last thing you need is 3 months down the line a confiscated laptop (which is a possibility) and absolutely no way of getting your money back. So for you it's best to get to the bottom of it now.

    They're not stolen. There is a chance that they may have been ordered using a fraudulent account, but that is not the same thing at all. Littlewoods have confirmed that they supplied the order as instructed by their customer - anything beyond that has nothing to do with you and you have a clear paper trail to prove it.

    handling stolen property as long as you have it.

    1) Hand it to police on suspected fraud, giving them all the details and if all checks out as legit they will return it to you.

    2) Return it back to Littlewoods on suspected fraud and let them sort it out.

    then try and get my money back from Amazon through a-z scheme.
    you have dismissed every bit of advice anyone has given you rather than say oh i will give that a try.

    so its really either one of the 2 options i give above or ask Littlewoods to place it in writing that no matter what happens you will never be chased for this or any money
