little_sweetie Wow, belated happy anniversary :D

OH gave me 20p in 5ps to pot today :)

  • Thank you for the Congrats Sue...I really appreciate it....

I don't mean to be a thickie :o But I am still not sure what to put on my Sig. So far I have made £209.07 but I have Banked £35 of that....so do I still put £209.07 followed by £35 Banked....or do I minus the £35 and so the Total would be £174.07....?? Sorry if I'm being a bit dim here....just don't want to do it wrong.... :o

Potted another £2.42 this Evening....It's slowing down a little but I'll still get there....

Got my £3 today and actually potted £3.20 and reached the £600 milestone. I'll still go hoping to reach £700 and probably need another £60- £70 to get there with the uncounted part £'s.

    Lynsey

Congratulations Lynsey!!! You worked darned hard for that so I'm really chuffed for you! :T:j All the best now for £700 or what you can save - whatever it is it'll be well deserved! :D

Bless your F-I-L, little_sweetie! Isn't it wicked what tickets out of this world cost!!!! For our dearest Mary it cost £3,300 and to my mind that's absolutely criminal, nothing fancy either. They must earn a ruddy fortune....but surely they can't sleep at night?!

Well done on adding even more, Helen, and don't worry, even if it slows down (it is with me too), it's still there and is YOUR SAVINGS!!

You're not being thick at all, I promise, but just forget about the Total - your Total is what you've already saved, no question about it! All sparky asks people to do is pop the amount they bank on their siggies - so it doesn't get forgotten...though you're hardly likely to do that now are you! ;) Please Helen, don't let it all worry you, you've put the words

"(£35 banked)" next to your SPC No....

.....so now forget it and simply focus on your Total as you know it - £209.07...so far! :)

We're not thick if we're unsure how something works, we just don't understand it, and that's you, Helen. I hope you do now, but if not then please say so as I'd far sooner you do that than worry about it, honestly. ;)

Have a lovely Friday, folks and A LOVELY WEEKEND. Keep saving hard and know that every penny saved counts!! :D

  • Thanks Sue....I shan't worry about it then :D

Still hoping to get to at least £250 before "Opening Day"....that would be AWESOME!!

I haven't actually got that many Presents left to buy....so £250 will be PLENTY to pay for what is left....and I might be able to treat a few people who have been REALLY amazing this Year to me...and I hope I can do that....

Go for it, Helen! It's great to treat those who have helped you, really it is as it's a little 'thank you'.......but keep some for yourself as you really deserve a treat too!

I don't know about working hard. lol
My way that works for myself is to be steady throughout and make little goals to achieve. It may not work for everyone, but works for myself to be self-disciplined.
My original target was only £300!!

Probably no potting today as nothing needed. Maybe tomorrow though as popping out for a meal sometime - though vouchers will pay most of that. :rotfl:

LESS than 6 weeks left to pot now!!

Sorry for messing up, it's just under 6 weeks.

I'm going a way for a few days before "potted counting day" and mis-calculated thinking about that. lol
So an extra week to wait or an extra week to save. :D

  • Its my first Christmas where I've had to buy presents for others on my own and I'm struggling not only slightly with money but with what to buy for people. I'm not too close with my family.

Also I found 1p today walking up to my doctors.
