I can't remember if I said here before, but last week my OH and I decided on a date to get married and have now told our family members. So it's a case of trying to save as much as possible now for the wedding, I've got a £2-2.5k budget in true MSE style
Therefore, I'm hoping to pot as much as possible in the run-up.
I've decided that when my OH and I do the weekly shopping tonight we're going to buy as little as possible and actually use things in the cupboard/freezer that we've "not felt like" or "don't have the time to cook this evening" and have forgotten about, so I'm going to have a sort out today and work out how many meals I can gather together. Hopefully I can get by on the little I've got remaining in my bank for the next week if we do that.
I've not been very good at potting over the last couple of months (due to birthdays and holiday etc.) so I'm going to pot the £19.23 I've got in my purse and forget about it, hopefully that'll help to make up for the last couple of months.SPC '21 #0750 -
Ooh, while potting that, I noticed 5p on top of the microwave, so that went in tooSPC '21 #0750

Just had my M&S vouchers come through from my CC so a whopping £27 in vouchers in the pot today
I like the M&S vouchers as I use them at Xmas for the sweetie/biscuity bits I wouldnt normally buy and for extra nice choccies for the kids stockings and for DH's prezzie
Hoping theres about £35 - £40 in vouchers in there which would also mean I can use some to get my nan and DH's uncle a xmas prezzie each (they never want anything so a bottle of bubbly or box of biccies go down well with both)
Really need to go upstairs and get the remainder of the money DS owed me for his bike bits and pot that, I just keep forgetting and it needs to be in my pot!
Very upset in the total lack of £2 coins at the minutehavent had one in about a month
my poor £2 coin tin is only about a 1/4 full which is no-where near good enough for opening day

Ooh, that's good jakes-mum
I'm trying to do some swag-bucking to get some Amazon vouchers. I'm planning on making a lot of home-made gifts for Christmas this year. There were raised eyebrows from the OH last night when he saw me researching Christmas crafts when it's only August, teehee
My response was that an MSE-er can never be too prepared
