That's good news nell - just keep smiling....oh, and potting :T

I'm DELIGHTED with my shiny £1 coin roadkill at Mr T yesterday - potted as soon as I got home :A

And all of my shrapnel potted today - just over £1

Hoping for a few NSDs this week which may have an impact on the pot....:rotfl:

I'm so sorry to hear about you loss of OT, Elle, but at least you still have the job! :D Keep saving hard with Oz in mind! :j
Thank you Sue for the advice about the Supermarket Cash Exchange Machines. I think I did kind of know there was a deduction but somewhere in the back of my mind I thought it was a charity thing (how naive am I????), so brushed it aside. I bet you are horrified!!

I definitely wouldn't use them again, especially for large amounts

Carol, I wasn't horrified at all, though I am with co!nstar (!!), just disappointed for you to have given some cash to the company. Not to worry, it's good to know you realise the bank's ok. Be happy, Carol. :D

Thank you for the kind words.....had a great appointment at hospital today. Consultant is happy with how I am progressing with the chemo :)

Splendid news, Nell, that really has made my day!! :j :T:j

Good to see you, Cinders, though really sorry to hear of your rough time. Keep positive and look ahead to a brighter future. :)

Oh dear, sparky, I must admit I'd never have wanted to work nights, but it's where the extra cash is I guess. Console yourself with that until the sun's out again.

Nowt potted for me either, Lynsey, but nowt spent either so we're not doing bad. ;)

:j Just over 14 weeks saving to go! :j

Have a great day, folks, enjoy the weather and keep safe and healthy.

  • Aaaah! 14 weeks! Not long to go at all!

I have potted probably around $60 dollars over the last few days... I know for a fact I potted $40 yesterday, and $5 today so I guess the weekends additions will just add to the mystery! Definitely $300 + in there now!

WEll it has been so long since i joined i had forgotten about it!! I havent been on the site for a long time as bizarrely it was making me spend money!! I would spot all these bargains being talked about on the forums and HAVE to go and buy them!!
So I am still potting and have no idea how much I have in But have Pot1- 50p and under not very full
    Pot2- £1 pretty nearly full
Pot3- Paper money left over from nights out!! Not very full but getting there!

  • I was in work Sunday 11:00 - 23:00 and Monday 08:00 - 01:00 then in this morning at 8:45. Sooooo sleepy but i'm thinking of the extra money which means i can actually have bank holiday off! woo hoo lol.

I'm having a week of saving (still potting) so i haven't banked any money towards my loan or ISA but i plan to do that with whatevers left, or i might not and just keep it for a little treat sometime. I think everyone needs a break once in a while.... I have just checked, i get paid tomorrow and i still have £175.71 in the bank so thats good going.

Right, hometime, 37 hours worked and it's only Tuesday! Night All lol

    Afternoon everyone,
Been to Espana recently but continued with the hubby rummages while away - not sure that Euros count towards the total though ...?! Nevertheless, rummages went ahead as planned...:rotfl:

Absolutely no idea what the total is now, but the pot is near to overflowing point again. Need to hold out for another 14 weeks - but may need to invest in another pot...

*Big hugs to Nell* I'm so glad to hear that the treatment seems to be going well :)

I am determined to pot some money today, but I'm not sure how much. I've got the OH sitting next to me at the moment, so I'm not going to say how much either as he isn't keen on me squirreling away notes :D
