Sue, I think I'm going to have to start putting away a little every week.
Especially in my Emergency fund. I'm going to save as much as i can then when my piggy bank gets full i'll put half in my savings and keep half for christmas 2014 and keep doing it that way... i figured it balances out the costs then & I've found yet another tin. It's a puppy sealed tin which i'll use for christmas 2014...i forgot my ex brought it for me.
And i know its a year away but it's a plan & a start.FebNSD:1/14 (TotalNSDs:12NSDs|SPC#054 £0.52(£6.00 banked)|RR#90Jan£0.07(Total:£0.07)|ES:£1.00/£50.00|£6.00/£359.00SavingsRepayment0 -
I have put the other loose 20p's into the holding pot to start next year. I ended up with too many!!
Spend your savings wisely or at least waste them on something nice.
Couldn't you just see that would happen :rotfl:a bit like dingle and her £5er. Brilliant Lynsey, you set out to save and save you did!! :j Many congratulations on such hard work!!!! :T For motivating others too. BTW, the highlighted bit I thought was ideal.
Excellent saving, ToniLiz!!!! :T You've done brilliantly...a good job SPC starts on Friday or your DH would miss his rummage, it's not just the soul and the pot it's good for. :rotfl:
Splendid savings, Jackies!!!! :TYou see you weren't the only one today. BTW, by all means stick to your words for next year, all the best.joowoo wrote:Can my hubby join? Rubberlegs - target is £150

Hello Sue,
Thank you very much for such a kind welcome! I am going to add my shiny new number to my signature after I have written this post! Also I have spent a lovely evening reading though the thread, thank you Sue for all of your hard work in maintaining this!
Also I would like to a massive congratulations to everyone who has saved, you have all done wonderfully and I will look forward to reading all of your posts no matter you have managed to save.
I have read all of the rules so Ithought that I would just let you guys know where I am up to at the moment!
I got a sealed pot for my birthday inMay; it is a tin with a £50 note on it, for anyone who is interested it can befound here http://www.amazon.co.uk/cant-get-Tin-Money-Box/dp/B000S8HX7C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385571997&sr=8-1&keywords=money+tin
Regarding roadkill money I am going tostart looking more, by doing this I hope that I will increase my observationalskills!
I was thinking about a target and I amgoing to aim for £120 for next year as it works out about £10 per month
I have got my diary ready for puttingthe date of unsealing the pot next year! (not that I am keen or anything).
I do have a question the other week I put all of my coppers and 5ps in my pot do I need to declare this now? I think that I have around £2.
Take care everyone!
Jo:jProud to have dealt with my debt, DFD 6th May 2015 :j

Any money I potted was used up during my house move so nothing to declare for now. Money well spent though.
Started saving for Christmas 2014 already. Got 2 pots, one for coins and one for notes. £90 from selling stuff put into the notes one. Aiming for £500. :j0
