All the best with your debt, the time'll come soon enough when it's all behind you.Mrs_Cheshire wrote: »Have popped a 2p in today, found it in a carrier bag of mail I was organising for shredding. My husband thinks I'm crazy saying 'ooh' when I found it!
Most hubbies are like that to begin with, Mrs Cheshire, he'll alter when he sees how well you do. Also, from what you say on your last post it's the way the majority of us save.
Hi Ruth and thanks a lot with tother thread.
That's fine, Sabrina, a lot of members have already declared anyway and it will help out for tomorrow. Congratulations to you!!!! :T I'm so pleased you're so chuffed with it, it'll go a long way to Christmas. :j Why not make yourself put aside a £1 a week this next time round..that'd build it up and you could still add in small coins so you have a surpeise. Think on it, but be so proud with what you've done!!
Oh dear, Lynsey, whoever thought saving could be such bally hard work eh! You do give me a giggle with it all. :rotfl:
..oooh your hubby's learning fast, Moneysavingmomma!
Brilliant work, Rose Garden, and many congratulations oh all you saved!!!!! :T Stay as determined as you are tonight and come on the thread more often as it motivates us all. Please, EVERYONE, check that you have your Nos on your siggies! Many thanks.Sue x

My OH and I have just counted up, as we won't be potting anything tomorrow!
So, I hereby declare a total of £327.05!
Thank you so much Sue and Sparky, and of course everyone else for the motivation, support and giggles
Edit: By the way, I almost managed to pot that lovely crisp £5 note that I've been hanging on to since the weekend...but I only ate lettuce and tomatoes for my lunch today and was hungry, so I bought an iced bun for my tea break! I then was too busy to have a tea break, so ended up eating it when I got home anyway, so I needn't have spent that 55p :doh:SPC '21 #0750 -
So VERY well done, dinglefoot!!! :j Congratulations on a terrific amount, you really have done so well. :T A shame about the £5er, ironic after keeping hold of it all that time! You can certainly look forward to the Wedding dress shopping trip at the weekend now, say "No" to the buns though! :rotfl:Please, EVERYONE, check that you have your Nos on your siggies! Many thanks.Sue x

Titter ye no more ........................... well until challenge No. 7.
I managed to get £2 changed into 20p coins and potted 6 of them.
Those final 20ps were a task ...................... but a task I won. :rotfl:
So, MEMBER No. 1930 is declaring £740 (exactly) for the year. :money:
I have put the other loose 20p's into the holding pot to start next year. I ended up with too many!!
Best wishes to the last few hours and well done to Sue for keeping this going (you're not getting another star though!!).
Her little helpers have also done a great job. Thanks to you also.
Spend your savings wisely or at least waste them on something nice.
I'll see you all on the other side.
