I do have a question the other week I put all of my coppers and 5ps in my pot do I need to declare this now? I think that I have around £2.

Hi again Jo, it's good to hear a bit about you, lovely to 'meet' you as it were. :D I've put your Target on for £250, is that ok?

We mainly tell each other on the thread how much we put in our pots as it acts as motivation for us all. We then pop it in the pots and forget about it. You don't need to declare anything
at all. Some people come on at this time of year to give me their Totals then that's all we hear of them until next year, maybe because they no longer need MSE or lead busy lives.

You'll find that, unless it's a regular amount you save, you'll soon forget what you've just put in your pot, even if you've told us on the thread.

Lynsey, Ruth and a few others likes to know exactly how much they're saving so they keep a note of it. However you wish to save is entirely up to you. All I want is for you, and everyone else, to be happy with saving, proud too, I hope you achieve it. Well done on that pot!! See you soon.

Hi there, Nikki, I know you've had the move, but please, if you can remember all or some of the money you paid out on moving you can still declare it as savings, after all you did save hard to get it so please do.
Please, EVERYONE, check that you have your Nos on your signatures! Many thanks.

Sorry been AWOL for a few days but with DS here for a holiday and trying to keep up with my course, 2 evenings and Sat mornings, it's been a bit hectic. Now taken about 45 minutes to catch up on all the posts :rotfl:

Welcome to everyone joining and hope we all have a fantastic 2014. It's great to have some support these days of austerity and know we are all trying to help each other streeeetch the pennies a bit further ;)

As I only joined at the beginning of the month I am carrying over for 2014. I have been 'potting my pound' and my tree is now about one inch tall :rotfl: at £38. So not a bad start for my target of £1000 for next year.

Looking forward to reading all your fantastic totals

  • Aww Thank You Lynsey....I WAS a bit down and out in the early part of the Year as there were lots of things going on for me in my Personal Life....and it all just seemed a bit hopeless...

BUT I got past that....and from September onwards it seemed to go really well....

    Soooo....I'm Declaring this Year's Total at £445.36.

I'm a bit gutted that I couldn't make the £450 but never mind!! I'm still REALLY proud of what I've made this Year....

I have even started off next Year's Pot with the extra's that were leftover....so starting the new Pot off with £2.62.

    I think you're right Lynsey...I think I WILL have a Debt-Free Christmas 2014 AND a Holiday....so Sue, can you put my 2014 Target down for £1000.

You've done BRILLIANTLY Lynsey...So Well Done to yourself as well....You have been one of the people that have motivated me this Year...so Thank You.

A BIG Thank You to Sue and Sparky and EVERYONE else....You are ALL wonderful....xXx

  • Hi

I only joined this last week but have been saving into a pot since September...total of £40.65. Quite pleased with that :-). It'll pay for my Christmas work night out (I won't be spending much as I'm 7 months pregnant!)

Hope to save a lot more over the next 12 months.

    Thanks.
