Hi everyone, I hope it's a good day for all. ooooh I'm getting so excited about tomorrow, but I've still got all my money to count yet, but I'll manage it!!!
LeopardPrintsAndTea, if it's possible this next year, why not put a certain amount by weekly from your wages, even if you have to sacrifice not doing something else, it'll be such a help this time next year...and be a huge boost for you. :kisses3: Even a 50p is good and a £1 even better. Give it a go.
Helen, you sound almost fit to burst and to hear all that excitement bubbling out is a joy for me. You're such an appreciative lass, it's amazing, but I still say YOU are the one who saved it, not us!ALM2013 wrote:7p road kill found on the way to work this morning. Picked up and safely in my pouch ready for the pot when I get home. I'm going to take the total off my sig and surprise myself when I open it next year. Can't wait, bring on the pennies!
You, ALM, sound like one extremely happy and excited potter, there'll be no containing you next November that's for certain!! :grinheartWell done on that 7p roadkill! :j
VERY well done, labtechlesley!!!! :T Some of us, for all sorts of reasons, just aren't able to save much, but it doesn't mean the amount is any less pleasurable. You've SAVED and that in itself is a great achievement, be happy and so proud. IF you can do better next year then fine, try putting a little by each day/week/month. £2 a week is £100 a year, have a think about what you can afford. Read about the 'holding pots/purses' on the 1st post of page 1 and see if that'll help. Well done though and yes, I do mean it!! :jWOW...we're almost there Sealed Potters!Just ONE day left!! Time for the last push! Go on, fill yer boots or pots maybe.
Please, EVERYONE, check that you have your Nos on your siggies! Many thanks.

Hi everyone,
I would like to join in for the next challenge, got my first pot ready to decorate, I am recycling an empty tub of baby formula. This gives me something to do with my daughter later in week.

50p potted today
Pay Day tomorrow so I will be sorting out envelopes and withdrawing the cash and putting different budgets in different envelopes. Does anyone else find this works? Or do they think its best to keep it all in bank account and withdraw it or use the card as needed? can't decide the best way to budget?
I'm going to be doing the same thing, hubby gets paid every 4 weeks so going to be taking out the money for clothes and leisure from that and the food shop will come out of our weekly tax credits. Anything left over will go into my pot to buy presents. Going to keep saving up my points on my store cards and use them to help offset the cost!Grocery Challenge 2024
