Oh. I hadn't realised that. Thank you :)

It must be the worst brief I've seen in a long time, you won't be the only one to miss it.

I do know a very effective debt collection company who are local to their offices, maybe easier to let someone else have the stress?
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

I had the same problem with Barry. In the end I sent an email and copied in everyone I knew at that company. I received an apology and my money. I still work for them from time to time, but not regularly.

What they mean is you are cheap and all the other shoppers they have spoken to wouldn't touch this with a barge pole for the fee offered. Sorry had to be said.

Couldn't agree more with Big G - avoid the job like the plague! If it goes wrong and alarm bells go off when you are in there that you are a MS you won't get paid

IMHO these are quite tricky assignments and you need your wits about you and have a good story to support the assignment. If you are not confident and not very good at the BS its going to stick out a mile you are MS. If it's Esa I would be wary - they asked me to go back to a bank less than 4 months after a visit. I explained I could not do the visit as there is only one women who does these interviews in the branch and she would be certain to recognize me. Did not stop ESA ringing me on numerous occasions 're this job.

Has anyone received payment from Gap buster for May assignments? It says on the notice board they are processed but I have not received it?

I haven't received mine yet and it's still showing as 'processing' on my payment page

I don't think I'm going to want to work with ESA after this job. I just called them saying that its never going to work and they still want me to go ahead saying that it could work as long as you don't lie to much but more make it sound like you will be able to make the repayments then it should work. If i can get a offer a mortgage with no income other than a student loan that I can show then I can see how the banks got into went bust.

In the email that just came through, under the 'Top Reminders this Month!' section, it says ...

All assignments completed in May will been processed payment on the 8th July 2014 (due to bank holiday USA)

If you don't want to do it, simply don't do it! You are self-employed and cannot be forced to carry out a job you don't want to do. As you said, you won't work for them again after this job, so why are you bothered?
