If you don't want to do it, simply don't do it! You are self-employed and cannot be forced to carry out a job you don't want to do. As you said, you won't work for them again after this job, so why are you bothered?

Money. I need the money the job is paying like 2 weeks worth of bills its hard to say no when i don't know if i will be able to get that money else where.

Well I guess what you have to weigh up is if you will be able to carry it out and be paid....if you think you will then do it but if not, I personally wouldn't waste my time and would take some smaller jobs to make up the same amount of cash.

There's also the risk that you'll do the job and because you don't fit a real customer profile will get spotted and so not paid.

And on another subject, sassin frassin rassin bikes. Not the shops. The closed roads for the Tour. My poor feets.

Hi everyone, new in here and would like to thank you for all your posts, very informative reading. I am not an old hand at MS did it before I got ill but now recovered so back on the road again.:j

Anyway, I have a problem with PIPs they are saying to use IE as my browser but when I do that cannot log in. I can log in with Chrome but unable to see the briefs..tearing my hair out here!:(

Any advice would be very much appreciated.:T

I can't see the briefs using chrome either - it downloads as a blank sheet. But if you do it through Chrome, you need to go to downloads menu on your computer, and go to "view recent items", and it'll be there as a PDF. It shows ok if you use Firefox to access PIP instead though :)

I suggest a strongly worded email to the MD setting out your late payment fees - starting with a £50 admin fee triggered seven days from now, and £10 per day thereafter. Always find that moves things along.

And what will this do? Any fees you impose have to be in agreement, not unilaterally imposed because you are peed off. As for an 'admin' fee fee of £50 followed by £10pd, who do you thing you are Wonga?

At least their customers were told of the charges up front - what you propose is completely unenforceable, and they'll fall about at the idiocy of it all.

In the email that just came through, under the 'Top Reminders this Month!' section, it says ...

All assignments completed in May will been processed payment on the 8th July 2014 (due to bank holiday USA)

My money came in on friday, after a quite frustrating phone call from them trying to get me to do a job, all I wanted to talk about was where my payment was.. all he wanted to talk about was a burger job for a piffy fee.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk

I don't think I'm going to want to work with ESA after this job. I just called them saying that its never going to work and they still want me to go ahead saying that it could work as long as you don't lie to much but more make it sound like you will be able to make the repayments then it should work. If i can get a offer a mortgage with no income other than a student loan that I can show then I can see how the banks got into went bust.

Send them an email, say why you are not doing it and move on, best way for all parties.

Anyone still working for IMS? Getting half tempted to give them a second chance if they've chaned their staff and attitudes.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
