I note the way your God damages children, so that he can then show how merciful he is by answering your prayers. Some might call that cruel.
You are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to mine. Perhaps you missed the part where I said about respecting other people's beliefs, even if they are different than your own?0 -
It boils my blood when people put medical successes, especially those against the odds, down to their prayers and god. Don't worry about the dedicated and highly skilled professionals who worked hard to save someone they didn't know. Don't worry about the decades of medical science that took place to get humanity to the point where it can defeat terrible diseases and disorders. No no no. It was prayer and god.0

I firmly believe that God ALWAYS answers prayer, it is simply that His answer may not always be the answer that the person praying for hopes. Sometimes His answer may be "no" or "not yet"0

I think this is a very fair comment, and I am a practising Christian.
One response is to see the world as an arena that is NOT controlled by God; where God is partially able to take part in the struggle between good and evil, and that ability depends upon us: both our prayers and our actions make it possible for God to provide assistance.0
