I'm here!
Hi there - having a lazy day today as I was shattered after all the travel yesterday - but not complaining as I had a really lovely picnic, in a very nice park, in the sun, with my DD and some of her in and out laws! It was great to see everyone and have a proper time to catch up.
I should have been travelling again today to see my poorly brother, but, had good news, they were sending him home from hospital today, but as they couldn't be specific about the time (it depended on the doctor) and I was to travel by train, I've had to defer it until later in the week.
So, I didn't have my shower until 11am, lolled about reading and making a fuss of the cats, eating bits and pieces for breakfast, then had a light lunch and a nice walk in the sunshine to the local shops and got some nice stuff to eat for the next few days, as my dear DH is due back tomorrow! I've got his favourite food as he has had a harrowing week, needs a bit of TLC, and it's also easy for me to prepare! I'd doubled upon flying as I thought I wouldn't be here - so really chilled!!
Good wishes all round - Dusty, I hope your DS is soon better, what a rotten time for you. Good health wishes and vibes all round, and good vibes for Pigpen - I hope it's all going to plan.
Back soon, R x0 -

Just to clarify..... I don't look at who's thanked EVERY post, I saw dancemum had posted 'checking in for pigpen update - where is everyone?' and I thought, yes, where ARE they, I wonder who IS here, I know, I'll see who's thanked dancemum's post as they will probably be checking in for pigpen update too....
Still a bit sad, I know.
One huge courgette lightly frying in olive oil & garlic, with red & green peppers  DD's having as a side dish to her chicken, while I'm having it as a main dish smothered with cheese - I can't wait!
Nicki if your DD likes peppers (& onions) you could try doing a ratatouille with mainly peppers, and sneak in some strips of courgette, cut to look like the strips of green pepper, cover with cheese and she may not notice. You could tell her they are 'baby summer green peppers' if she does! I used to hide spinach in my kids food telling them it was 'large round-leaved basil'
Bonnie and Nicki - I have a yummy and easy recipe for courgettes. You grate them, using a 'big hole' grater, (not sure what the real term is!), press the grated veg in a kitchen towel to absorb some of the water, then simply fry in some butter. The resultant taste is really nice and not like courgettes at all - if that makes sense.
