    Well thankfully I don't have to go to B&Q - I found the wardrobe rail holder first thing this morning and OH has fixed it back in. now I have to go and put the clothes back in!

    Safe arrival vibes to Pigpen. Healing vibes to Dusty's DS2, and yes, it does sound as though the M is on her way. I still get a personal central heating boost at about 9.30 pm most evenings, but other than that, life's a lot simpler and more comfortable.

    Wirgin playing up again so I can't arrange a viewing at the cottage - grrrrrrrrrr. I'm thinking of going over to BT - has anyone got any observations about their current level of customer service?

    I also need to go over to the chalet and do the changeover, pick up last week's laundry and restart that little lark. It's been lovely not having a queue of piles in front of the WM for all of 12 hours.
    Better is good enough.
  • Poor DS2 has got DS3's bug but even worse (I didn't think that was possible).

    Oh no... poor lad... I hope it's over soon and DS3 is now fully recovered. Are you feeling OK dusty?

    OH is having his stag weekend in London. He's going with his Dad, brother, BIL and DSS so I'm not too concerned he'll end up gaffa taped to a lamppost at Kings Cross station sans his undercrackers :rotfl:

    I'll look out for him when I'm in London for work tomorrow :rotfl: Have a great time with your friend!

    So far I've had a guy look at my shambles of a garden and he's gone away [STRIKE]laughing[/STRIKE] to put together a quote. I've got another guy coming on Tuesday and waiting to hear from a third. By the time all the quotes are in, the long-awaited money should be in my account and I can see what I can afford. Guy 1 was happy to do the work in stages, which would be good. Baby steps ;)

    One load of washing in the line, another in the WM. I'm going to clean my sofas and chairs today (I washed all the cushions & cushion covers the other day). The LR curtains need doing too but I need to check the weather forecast before I take them down (I'll need them up again by this evening). They are cheap tab-tops which are great for shoving in the WM, they require minimal ironing are soon up again good as new.

    Been thinking of piggers, hope all's well and looking forward to hearing what type of baby she has xx

    I need to use up 4 large courgettes - was thinking I could saute them in butter (and garlic?) and make some sort of flan? Would this work? Does anyone have any simple courgette recipes please?

    OK coffee time. :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: There's a couple of teas in there too.... please help yourself!

    Hope your DS feels better soon Dusty - my DD2 was always ill in the holidays...

    Hoping we'll hear from pigpen soon....

    bonnie - when we had a glut of courgettes we used to make vats of ratatouille (without the aubergine - OH doesn't like) and freeze it! Never had any problems. Sometimes we'd add a tin of tuna to the above dish and serve over pasta...

  • Ooooh ratatouille, that's a good idea CY! I have lots of tinned tomatoes, onion & basil. TY.

    Glad DD is having a whale of a time in London!

  • Pleased to be of service! DD2 has announced plans to meet a mate today! HOORAY - that means some time home alone. A charity bag has popped through the door and I plan on doing some flinging. I may also crack out the carpet cleaner in DD2's room - nothing like demolishing a cabin bed to reveal the true colour of the carpet......

  • Hi all.
    Well after tidying and cleaning the house Thursday, it now looks like a bomb again :(

    The plan today is
    * Go to shops and get gas and electric(sure kids will want something too)
    * Dinner, wash up
    * Put washing away
    * Clean oven and hob
    * Clean out fridge
    * Declutter a few cups of coffee :D
    * Vacuum LR, hallway and kitchen

    Will see what i can get done. Kids seem to be arguing with each other more than usual today :(

    Hope Pigpen has a quick and as pain free delivery as possible
    MAY GC £140 /£120 :(

    Morning all :D

    Does anyone have any simple courgette recipes please?

    I have a large one to use & DD hates them apparently so short of smothering it in cheese (guaranteed way to get her to eat stuff she doesn't like) I need ideas as well as I want her to get used to the taste so we can have them more often as I like them ;) She doesn't like aubergine either. She's a fussy horror at times :mad: Just saw CY suggestion for ratatouille...may try that tomorrow ;)

    Anyone any news on Pigpen yet?

    I've stripped my bed, and the quilt/pillow covers are already washed and dried :D Glad I remembered I had drier balls :o Towels I washed last night are also dry so I'll take them upstairs to put away soon.

    Just working my way through my utube subscription vids while I work my way through the mending pile. Hoping it won't take too long as I want to jump in the bath and get some more of this peeling skin off :mad: I have 2 items to do then I can put the next wash load on :D

    Dailies:
    Wash up SS
    Beds S
    S&S Bathroom SS
    S&S Kitchen SS
    HHTidy before bed SS
    Accounts SS
    Project MTWTFSS

    Work:
    Decide on how many books to order for next campaign
    Tax return
    Shredding
    Mon - Deliver orders still outstanding.

    Other:
    Ironing
    Mending pile / labels

    Mop kitchen floor - Will do when the laundry is finished
    Change DD's bed - Sunday job

    Back to the mending :D
