im not a regular church goer (well i go to the christingle every year regularly;)) and dont have tattoos but if god (or the vicar) look badly on people with tattoos there cant be much hope for the future of the church. Im sure if the childs parents want you to be god mother with your tattoos the church shouldnt have a problem with a little bit of inked calf showing.
its not like youve got angel gabriel poledancing across your chest on full show or anything like that.

Haha! Thankyou Mrs Moneypenny  you have made a very fair point, I'll stop fretting over what to wear and therefore stop faffing over packing my bag. Just the Makeup Drawer Of Death to contend with to get my toilet bag sorted and I am done for the day :)

Off out to paid stuff now. Accounts up to date, most of the paperwork away. DD has finished sorting her toy boxes and we've already eaten :D

Having a bit of a problem atm with our fr33view, it keeps turning itself over to the adult channels  No idea how or why. I switched it off last night when I went to bed, came down this morning and it was switched on and turned to the adult channel. Now its not recorded things during the day (DD is gutted as it was supposed to be recording the second part of a programme she was watching yesterday) but had yet again turned itself over and when I reset it, it switched itself on and put the adult channel on again :rotfl::rotfl: I think the overnight update has done something. Hopefully if it checks for more updates tonight it'll rectify itself :rotfl::rotfl: DD has been warned not to switch the TV on until she's checked what channel the box is on just in case she's up before me tomorrow

Plan for when we get in from work (if we're not going out) is to try and clear some of the list. Shouldn't take long. Worst thing will be vacuuming under the sofas which need to be moved.

    Right, leaving the house

im sure you can block some of the channels, my mum was telling me after updates she goes through to see what shes been given and blocks some of them incase grandchildren or anyone surfing her channels come across something they shouldnt, probs some instructions in the manual.
    hope you get it sorted

Final load out of the WM and pegged out, catering gibble washed, sorted and put in my office to be resorted into appropriate boxes before going up to the attic. Cottage tidied and cleared of washing up and rubbish, fridge emptied and half a bottle of gin decluttered back to this house. I'm taking it they meant it as my 'house-keeping' tip.

Mrs Dog has been booked in to the vets for a general dental declutter next Friday.
    Better is good enough.

Evening! Well, I didn't get back for my HHCs as we were at the Submarine Museum for 4 hours and then I took Dad to Mr M. Was a good day though :D Found Grandad's name in several of the books they sell in the shop and also in the memorial area there (all new since last time we went so was lovely to see).

Have managed to get washing done and out on the line and took a full recycling box to dump in Dad's green bin as I seem to keep being away when it's collected here!

Froddy - fancy going to Manchester the week I'm on holiday - I would have come and joined you for the day otherwise.

Sorry :( Booked it ages ago (£29 a night and cheap coach fare :money:). We will have to organise something soon though. Enjoy your hols x

I was staying in Stockport and going into Manchester as well as travelling round the city; with the combination of trains, buses and trams, it was really good. Then again, I didn't use it at peak times.

I agree with her Froddy. Buy a daily ticket for the trams to save money. There are ticket machines at most tram stop platforms.
It's a fun city. I hope you have a great time.

Thanks ladies - that's what I thought. Not planning on travelling at peak times and will probably walk much of the time but need a plan in case of rain!!

Have written a list of what I need to take and suitcase still has some bits in from when I got back last weekend as it seemed pointless unpacking everything and repacking again! When I get back from Manchester, I have 3 days at home before I head to Reading for a week so am trying to start sorting for that too!!!

Piggers - wishing you the speediest of deliveries and the most perfect of babies at the end of it....

Busy day today taken as annual leave. Tidying, washing and shopping this morning and then, this afternoon, a serious assault on some bushes in the garden that had taken on tree-like proportions.

NN came over for usual Friday night gin and gossip. DS on night shift so I'm having a trashy tea simply because I can! (Though the freshly peeled and boiled veg and the home made potato wedges might just counteract the fact there's a frozen, battered, piece of fish being cooked off in the oven!)
