  • I'm dressed, I've had a cuppa, I've had the dogs out, I've fed the dogs, I've stripped my bed, I've stuck the bedding in the WM, I've made another cuppa, I've tried my denture again and was nearly sick but after this cuppa I will try again.

Just going to tidy this LR and do a S/S of scullery and bathroom, I will then get my own room done and get the kids to do theirs.

    HHC at 12.30 anyone?

I'm off to Manchester for a few days next week - anyone got any recommendations or know what the public transport system is like?
I was staying in Stockport and going into Manchester as well as travelling round the city; with the combination of trains, buses and trams, it was really good. Then again, I didn't use it at peak times.

    Afternoon all :D

I have paid stuff again tonight but I've said from 5pm as in theory I have plans tonight but I'm still waiting to hear back from someone as to whether its tonight or tomorrow. If it doesn't happen then something a lot heavier than a fluffy mule will be chucked at said person ;)

DD is sorting out her room. She has 4 toy boxes to sort through and is under threat of no cinema if its not done by 5pm. ;) This is the job she was meant to be doing yesterday and messed around so much trying to micro-organise her boardgames it took her 5 hours to do 4 boxes, most of which didn't need anything other than taking out the storage box, wipe over with a duster and put back in!

    Hearty heaving vibes for Pigpen.

Thank you from Mrs Dog to Bonnie.

I also have been known to turn loo rolls round, especially when I've had a glass or three of the red stuff.

More washing twirling and super-quick tiding up action for the cottage as I'm about to show a potential five month plus lodger around. The chaps were lovely and, all things considered, left it in a reasonable state, but they were three chaps, and they were working seven days a week, 18 hour days for a month, and she's a scientific girly, so 'minging' would be the word she would use, I assume.
    Better is good enough.

Healthy teefies vibes for Mrs Dog. I sympathise, HB; canine halitosis is decidedly un-funny.
    Unremembered item on draining board
Does anyone else not trust something on the 'clean' side of the draining board that they've not washed up themselves??
I'm with you on this, even though there's only the two of us; I sometimes have to hand Mr LW back things he's allegedly washed because they're not clean.

YES! Thank goodness it's not just me!!

Does anyone else clean the bathroom taps and door handles before they use the loo in a hotel or holiday flat? Or at a friend's!! (My older brother even takes a bathroom cleanser on hols to a hotel!!!).

    R x:)
*Puts hand up to cleaning hotel taps and handles* I just use a bit of loo roll and one of the tablets of soap the hotel supplies for guest use, though. I don't visit friends (don't actually have any to visit, tbh) so that's not something I have to worry about.:o

I hang mine with the dangler to the back of the roll. I find that small people are much less inclined to use 2/3 of a roll at a time this way. Haven't managed to train OH out of this one yet though.

Must add loo roll to shopping list…!
Mine hangs with the dangler to the front, because it takes me umpteen attempts to grab hold of it if it's at the back. We don't have any littl'uns here, so don't have the "small people using 2/3 of the roll" issue.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
