Pigpen congratulations on your lovely pink alarm clock.

I'm sitting here feeling very bloated, all thanks to Ionafan's gooseberry cake - at least I think it was hers. The combination of a new food mixer thing and dried egg whites which I hadn't used before made the meringue a little.....interesting.....but it tasted yummy. So yummy I had seconds. And a bit of the chocolate I bought earlier to brighten me up. My brain is well aware that your brain doesn't believe your stomach is full until 20 mins has gone by, by which time you've scoffed something else......or maybe it just forgot.

Why is it that I love planning holidays, love being on holiday from the airport onwards (although don't enjoy flying) - but the last few days before a holiday I just want to hide in a cupboard? It happens every time and makes me so mad as I consistently fail to finish off any of the things I want to, and end up packing frantically at the last minute. OH is packed, weighed and ready. I've covered the spare bed and much of the dining room table with what should and could be in my case by now. Pathetic and ungrateful - lots of people would love a holiday.

Anyway, today I've done some washing, ironing , taken photos of OH on his horse for a "me and my pet" work newsletter, did a bit of shopping, put a few things away, mended a couple of garments which had been waiting by the sewing basket forever and of course are desperately needed on holiday...........etc etc.

Have a great time those on holiday or imminently going, and I will be thoroughly galvanised into action tomorrow as I have the deadline of 5pm when we pick up MIL to go to an outdoor concert (please no rain), cram in some gym on Mon am to minimise twitching on the plane later.

Congratulations pigpen, she's lovely. Very good weight for being so early too :).
We have been gromit spotting again today. Another 7 miles covered on foot and have now found 69 of them. We would love to go to Paddington so that we can find all 80 of them. I have also bought a tea towel of them because it's so cool and was only £5.99. The money raised goes to Bristol childrens hospital and DD has needed their services twice since she was born so I am very grateful for them :).

Goodintentions - I was having problems earlier when I clicked "Quote" or "reply", but posting in the quick reply bit at the bottom of the page seems to work for me. No idea whats going on.

Huge congratulations Pigpen. Not jealous much.

Not even a bit jealous of people who have enough washing line space to be able to sort it into colours, types, north/south axis and peg-suitable. *weeps*

I hope today gives you some of your vavavoom back Dusty, that Mr Kitten loves his new barbeque area even though the pleasure was delayed and your DS2 recovers quickly.
    Better is good enough.
