  • I’m veerrrry late but I too agree special birthdays are different . Been stalking aand you have been doing so well with paying debts here and there, especially re your evans store card, :j it will be paid off in now time. Also, a treat is good, if we don't have one we will probably want to go a massive splurge! All this is so inspiring to keep me going! Have a lovely day sweet!
  • Busy day here, with my sister stopping on top of a full day at work. A nsd for me which is impressive.

    £4.90 to loan account.

Tomorrow will be a potential spendy type day but sister knows I'm cutting back so hopefully it won't be as expensive as predicted.

    A xx

    Keep Going...You can do it!!
  • Hello

Glad you decided to tell your sister that you are cutting back on spending, it means you won't feel any pressure to spend over the next few days. Hope you get a chance to try the recipe I sent over to you. :)

I agree with DreamerHelen, you're doing brilliantly and already starting to overpay on that loan... a lot earlier than you expected too!

  • Hi LMD and Helen, thank you for your comments.

Had a brief conversation with sister and just said I had got myself into a bit of a pickle and was now sorting myself out and therefore being careful so hoped cheap and cheerful would would be okay - she was fine about it.

Mixed bag if a day really.

    PAD of £1.49.
Decided that the more I read through other diaries and blogs etc that actually I am not in the dire need that some are, I therefore made an early trip to the shop and £12.88 in food to the foodbank. Kind off payment to society. Intend to do that once a month.

£4.95 in coffees in m&s, used £4.00 in vouchers I had so 95p.

Some Russian cake for my nephew - he loves it and not seen it so £1.80 and a Ukraine rye bread for my mum ( never take money off my parents even though they offer) so another £2.15

On the plus popped into the loc'itan shop and picked up a free sample of shampoo and conditioner.
£3.00 of luncheon vouchers from pine cone through the post and nectar points happily adding up due to watching adverts.

Oh and went into lloyds re overpayment of loan - have a telephone number to ring, so one of tomorrow's jobs.

    Night all xx

  • Sounds like you're doing really well....

I think the Food Bank idea was a really good one....I try to give to a Charity as often as I can....It's not necessarily about quantity...you just give what you can...and that's the way that I look at it....I give what I can....

Hope you are in the land of nod right now....and that you are having Sweet Dreams....x
  • Thanks Helen, I intend to keep giving every month. A small amount from me can mean a lot to others.

Had another day with my sister, reasonable spending day. £6 into my loan account. Have £40 left in my bills account for my Evans account however I'm hoping that its paid and I can transfer the money into my loan account. Just need my bill .. Hurry up postman! Wow - didn't think I would ever want a bill to arrive quicker.

Rang lloyds today and got the account and sort code so shall set up a standing order. Shall do this at the end of each month. Looking forward to seeing the loan balance drop.

Hoping for a nsd tomorrow but we will see.

    Xx

  • Well sister had gone, love her to bits but seriously glad she has gone home. Will be chilling tonight and getting my house back into a pre sister state.

A small spend of £1.69 today and a PAD of £1.21. Not a huge amount but it all adds up.

My Evans statement hasn't arrived yet - quite frustrating when I just want to see if its paid off and if not to allow me to pay it off.

Have just checked my noodle account and I know realistically the scoring doesn't mean anything but my rating has gone from 3/5 to 4/5 so that's another positive result.

Hopefully a nice quiet weekend xx

  • Well a quiet day for me.

Still no Evans statements so still feeling frustrated that I can't check and confirm that it's been paid. I also want to pay the money earmarked for Evans over to my loan account now I have my standing order set up. Hopefully Monday will bring something in the post.

An nsd for me today, mainly because I have been recovering from my sisters visit so have stopped in. Saying that, stopping in wouldn't have previously stopped me.

I do need some more juice glasses, have spotted some that I like but I shall wait for the next round of sales or just pop and get a pack of 4 from the supermarket.

Nice evening watching the tv xx

  • Could you call the number on your card and get a current balance? That's what I did with my DP store card. At least then you will know... The DP one was all automated so no need to wait until Monday :)
