Think it's going to be a spreadsheet moment on Friday.
Feeling very positive today... Hoping it will last in the long haul.

I know that feeling! Can't wait to get paid so you can pay off more debt! Made me smile! I love opening up my online banking and assigning my hard earned pennies to take down the open balances. It's nice seeing a positive balance at the end of the month and in addition debt balance going down too. The joy of Internet banking.
I think it's seeing the results that is spurring me on, along with the lovely people on here.Save £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

It's odd as previously I would want pay day to arrive so I could pay the minimum payments and then go out buying, and really it was just buying stuff!!
This month it's eager anticipation of paying debts and seeing the balances going down.
The feeling of buying stuff last no time but the sense of achievement seeing balances drop and knowing I'm in control lasts much longer xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Well a happy nsd for me today. £40 paid as a PAD. I have just short if £25 in my purse. Shall keep the £5 for the window cleaner and tomorrow (pay day!!!) I shall pay £20 into my emergency fund.
I'm going to sign up for the PAD challenge. I initially thought I couldn't do it as once I have paid the store card I have a loan to pay off and it's not like paying a credit card I can't go onto online banking and just pay a couple of £.
So a way round it is an online account called PAD and I shall pay my daily PADs into that account and then monthly I shall arrange for that money to be paid into my loan account, determined to do this so know I won't touch it.
I will be debt free xxxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

As it my first full month I thought I would record 10 things I've learnt this month.
1, A spending diary is key to staying on track.
2. Homemade lunches are comparable if not better than than meal deals.
3. I won't die if I don't have my diet coke.
4. It's okay to let others pay - sometimes.
5. It's not embarrassing using a voucher.
6. Paying small amounts off - add up by the end of the month.
7. There are ways of making extra money that doesn't involve a second job.
8. Cheap doesn't always equate to rubbish.
9. Feeling in control and seeing debt balance drop feels better than any impulse purchase.
10. There are some absolutely fantastic people who are on here - truly inspirational.
I'm sure I will have at least another 10 by the end of next month xxxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Yes join the PAD club! You're doing so well you might as well, loving your "what I've learnt this month list". I've never used a voucher apart from the one's you get for money of supermarket shops e.g £10 off if you spend.... So many people on here seem to use vouchers but I have no idea where to get them from. Any tips?0
