Thanks Miss debt, your support is most gratefully received. It's lovely to be able to waffle about anything and not to feel that your talking to people who have no concept of what you're going through.

Do you ever feel as though you're doing this journey alone (obviously excluding every wonderful person on here) ?
Everyone I work with is financially solid (or so they seem), my friends are on the end of two spectrums, either comfortably financially or living from month to month robbing Peter to pay Paul and not bothered if a payment gets missed.
Because I have never been open about my financial situation people assume I am comfortable and totally responsible. I therefore do not feel I can tell people about the situation I'm in. In there opinion people who are in debt are just plain stupid and should learn to live within there means.
My other friends just see that as I have available balance on my credit card and can still get credit then there's no issue. It only becomes an issue when you can't get credit!! Oh and I have a job and therefore must be loaded!!
So at the moment I'm just telling people that I'm trying not to waste food ( therefore taking my own lunches to work), got a few big birthdays coming up ( which is true) and therefore being careful which I suppose could extend to the Xmas period.
What then? When the excuses run out why I've got no money, if I say I'm saving... Then it's "life's too short" and if i say I have debt then it's " how could you have been so stupid"
I suppose I may have relaxed in a few months and therefore my thriftyness may not be as obvious. However the more energy I spend on this the more I want to clear the debts and as quick as possible.
I know it's no one else business and no one else's concern but I feel a bit in no mans land at the moment. XxxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Current account balance checked, £2.01 until payday on Friday. £2 now paid to my store card. So 1p left.
I do have £40 pounds in my food account and another £39 in my purse so I am absolutely fine ( the 40 pounds will go on my store card Thursday evening). What ever I have left in my purse come Friday will go in my emergency savings.
I need food shopping as didn't do any over the weekend. I shall buy enough just to get me through.
Hope you have a good day xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

I lived a lie for years in my twenties, was flashing cash like there was no tomorrow and no one new how much debt I was in! I had confidence issues to be fair, and spending made me feel much better! Now, I'm out, well of that debt anyway and the confidence issues still kick in now and then and I spend! Everyone is always trying to keep up with the Jones but at the end of the day you're the most important person and it's your dreams not no one else's. I have £9.95 to last until Friday because I have to pay for a damn taxi for work which is £20. I will get it back but will have to wait. Hey ho, I'm doing some market research this week so will get £80 then and have food for the week so I can live at least0

Well another day done another day closer to pay day and my office move.
Went shopping on the way just a few bits. Didn't get much but enough till Friday.
Got some bargain cathedral city cheese, 350 grams, half price in tesco, remembered I'd got a £1.50 voucher in my bag so 75p.
Never used to be a voucher person but every penny helps.
Tomorrow may be a spend day as I would like to buy some chocolates etc for people at work. Been there 25 years and the cleaners have been there for years as have the messengers and group 4. Seeing most of hem daily so I've decided to buy some chocolates for each group. Yes it's not In my budget but I would rather do with out something or have £10 less in my emergency fund and buy something to say thank you.
Didn't get them today as it was in a tesco express that I popped into and all the chocolate was full price. Hoping tomorrow will see a change in offers and my thank you gifts won't cost too much.

That's a really nice gesture and I would probably do the same. I think there is a difference in being savvy and a little frugal to being a miser! It's all about balance.

Chocolates purchased... 3 shops visited before I got a deal. Ended up spending £10.47 for 3 box of thorntons smiles. They were half price at £3.49 a box so happy with my purchase.
Ooh I need to write it in my spending diary.
Well I have £40 left in my bank so that will be a nil balance when that gets paid if my store card.
I have £24.79 in my purse. Out of that, £5 is window cleaning money for this month so have £19.79 other spend left. This will get transferred ( rounded up to £20) on Friday to my savings account.
Roll on pay day ..... Just want it to be NOW.
