  • Well another NSD for me. Had a really nice day crafting.

My brother finally got a full time permanent job so decided I would make him a card. Once I had my crafting stuff out I decided to crack on with a few Christmas cards. 5 hours later ( only 4 cards made) and I'm done for the day. Time just flew by and it's got me enthused again.

£70 standing order to the loan this morning. I'm going to do one monthly payment - which from October will be straight after payday, minimum monthly payment will be £60 (next and Evans account payments) I then shall do PADing and pay £10 a week to the loan. Any extra saved and I shall adjust the monthly payment. It means I'm only making an amendment once a month but still paying in on a weekly basis.

Another happy spend free day xx

  • Sounds like you have had a lovely day! And plans are in place to blitz the loan, well done honey x

I wish I was more crafty, but by the time I've had my daily swim I don't have much spare time...

    Enjoy your week off

  • Hi just popped over to say hi and support you. :)
  • Well a relatively low cost day for me today just £1.69 spent today, was for a drink and a banana so not really needed but hey it's not bad if that's all I have spent in 3 days whilst off work.

Tomorrow is likely to be another nsd as no plans as I want to make some more cards as just reminded thanks to btd that its only 100 days until Christmas.

Made a £4 pad to my loan and emergency fund. It's harder for me at this time of the month as still a lot of month left but doesn't appear to me a huge amount in my account. Shall just do little trickles into my loan account until the end of the month and hopefully if I have extra funds remaining do an extra lump. Love PADing !

    Xx

  • Well I'm feeling a bit down today.

Had a week or so where people around me seem to be spending money like its going out of fashion ( sisters brand new car, brother new iPad and my friend an iPad today) on top of that my eldest sister had a dig at me at the beginning of the week about me living in rented accommodation.

I know it's just stuff and I know I could buy anything I wanted if I wanted to be in more debt .... Which I don't.

The logical part of me says its just stuff and not worth getting fed up about ( and I already have an ipad) and not one of them have brought it in proper money so they are getting into debt for it but the petulant child wants something nice and shiny too.

Give me an hour or so and I will be fine but at the moment it seems a long time before I will be able o buy something nice and shiny for myself.

Need to clear my head of this attitude and be content with the simple things xx

  • Hi There, I didn't want to read and run...

I'm sorry you're feeling down today....I know what its like, I went through a stage where everyone seemed to be going on Holiday and I knew I wouldnt be able to afford a Holiday for quite some time....

How about giving yourself a SMALL budget every Week or Month to be able to treat yourself to something nice....It might only be a new Book or a new CD (does anyone actually buy CD's anymore?? LoL)...or something like that...but it might help you not to feel so deprived and to keep you going if you know you have something that you can look forward to....

Hope that helps a little...Chin up hun x
  • Don't worry - many of us have been in the same boat for years. I have just cleared £18,000 of debt through Payplan and I can't tell you how good this feels. Take action now, however emotional and hard this is - you will not regret it. you have the chance for a fresh start.
