Too much month left at the end of our money...

Gawd, It's been ages as usual with me.. things are a bit more dire than when I was last here. I have literally just applied for another credit card to get us through a holiday payment to be made this month. I applied for an interest free spending one and I have advised our other credit card that we want to close the account, so we still only have one, but it will take a few months to clear this holiday payment. Stupid I know.
Not my finest hour. But I feel proud of myself for acknowledging we are in strife and not letting it get too mad. Need a different system for monitoring what we put on the credit card as I only do it to get cashback, and I have the money elsewhere to pay it all off every month, but little things are creeping on.
Christmas looming and a lot of birthdays and everything just feels a bit too much so back to tracking and seeing what I can do to save pennies.
On our last year of nurserr fees, so next August will look a lot different financially, just got to get through to then!
Good news, is that finally I seem to be getting somewhere with losing weight and in two months, I've lost 21 pounds. Really pleased with that.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Morning all, seems like Sundays are the only day I get in here.
Hoping the new credit card arrives this week as I have to make the payments on the holiday and final payment on the other credit card this week.
Starting to think about moving the loan to an interest free cc - any thoughts? Thinking I can fling extra at it on a month by month basis and actually see the amount going down.. Plus would save about £1k in interest payments to the loan..
Also need to look at our credit file as the person that uses to live here, who got 'tagged' for robbery had loads of things delivered here in the last few weeks, she says it was an issue and we refused delivery of a lot, but somethings got through as we didn't realise first off that the parcels weren't for us / neighbours took delivery.
I also have a stack of credit cards that aren't being used and haven't been for ages.. thinking it's best to close these rather than keep them open??
Lots of things I want to do, but more than anything, I really want to make an impact on this debt over the next year.
Decided we are not having a holiday next year, we might do a few days away but nothing else..DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
