    I personally follow WW.
I used it to lost 2 and a half stone in just 14 weeks.
I've really struggled with it since I got to goal last July - I was ok until about October when I quit the gym and then I kinda lost it a bit, then Christmas happened (which started mid november and didn't finish til mid january... :o)
Thankfully I only put on half a stone over this time.
Still haven't got properly back on track but am trying.
Wanted to be 9st by my 1 year since starting date, but that's in 2 weeks and I don't think I'm going to lose 21lbs in that time unless I have a limb amputated.
But I'd like to be there by my 1 year at goal anniversary.
With WW, it usually involves paying to go to meetings, but you can of course do it alone by using forums etc (and I'm more than happy to give some hints and tips if you would like them).

You need to decide which option you prefer - points or calories.
    Have you tried either before?

    Hi hun,
Great to see you are all moved and sorted. Shame on not having a massive amount to pay against the debt, but moving house is ALWAYS more expensive than we plan. You have done well to do it without adding to the debt, so well done :T.
Moving house into a renovation project is what put us back into 20k debt. :(.

You sound so happy and relaxed. Have you got any things you can Ebay or car boot. I have found the little bits I have made on Ebay have really knocked down the total of my Credit card.

    Take care. Speak soon xx

I've done both and the only diet I've ever had success on is WW. Calories just doesn't seem to work for me and I can't seem to stick to it at all. Problem with me is that I want quick results, I don't get it, so I don't bother. Which I know isn't the answer, I do! And then I end up thinking, sod it and not doing anything.

I'm thinking I'm going to do WW, as I know it works.

Thank you all for popping in - really value it.

I have loads to ebay after the move, mainly kids clothes but I will get going on these in the next few weeks.

Need to focus on losing weight now and working towards the £850 overpayment I was determined to do this year.

I, along with everyone I'm sure, will support you in whichever one you choose.

I know what you mean about wanting quick results. When I was first losing, I was getting quick results. 2.5lbs gone every week and it just seemed easy. Then one week I stayed the same and was absolutely devastated, especially as I'd had a change of job at work and wouldn't be walking as much so I'd put extra effort in down the gym. I felt like I'd lost everything. But I kept on it, even though I didn't feel like it, and ended up losing 5lbs the next week. One week after that and I was at goal.

But getting the final 21lbs from where I am now at 10st5 (well, I was this morning - a lot of food has passed my lips today :o) to 9st is tough. I'm finding it really difficult to keep on it.

But it's like debt busting. We have to knock our debts down pound by pound, day by day and the exact same thing applies to weight loss. Pound at a time.
1lb/£1 at a time doesn't seem much, but add them all up and the impact is massive.

Good luck with the weight loss and the debt busting.
I have faith in you (just need to remind myself of all of the above because I like to see quick results as well and don't nearly remind myself that lots of little bits add up to one big bit).

  • Life has ran away with me a bit again. But I'm still here plodding away.

House wise, we removed storage heaters, hung new radiators and have an electrician coming this week to wire those in. Pre payment meter is being taken out this week as well. As the provider wouldn't let me off the £60 removal fee, I will do some comparisons this week to see if we are on the best tariff and hopefully get some money back from switching. Obviously have a rather large electrician bill this week to pay, but can't escape that.

Finally back to tracking spending and accounting for every penny and have sent £10 overpayment to the loan, a miniscule amount, but hope to have some more at the end of the month to send and every little helps. Thinking I will attack the debt more like this sending a few pounds here and there and then I don't notice it or feel it as much.

Diet wise, I'm still where I was. But am trying to get on the wagon again today. Start weight is 206.8.

Quiet day at home with the little people with a friend and her littles over later.

The sun is shining, it's looks a beautiful day, so planning to enjoy it. Have a good one everyone. x

Was a gorgeous day yesterday and we spent hours outside in the garden which was lovely.

    Weight today - 204.4

Had a ratty call with our electricity supplier yesterday, customer service skills leave little to be desired. Must get on to changing suppliers asap.

Have sold a big item on ebay for £38 and have another on there at the moment, but still have a pile of ebaying to do still! If only there were more hours in the day!

  • It sounds all good, rememeber.

Every overpayment is a plus. Every package sold on ebay not only declutters your house but makes you money.

The weight will come off with all the extra work you are doing too!
    Trying to shift that debt!
